IMO they're gonna do an inverse of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The story will follow the Chimp for the first half, but then switch to her as the main, as she leads a human rebellion, or knows where the nukes are. She's gonna be from a Fallout type complex, or "KAMANDI" if anyone knows what that is.

oh yeah, it wasn' laser weapon it was nukes. . In the original series, there were radiated humans that kept their intelligents and hid, but decided to start a war with the APes. I was a kid while watching, but as an adult would think it was stupid, but preachy. But appropriate since we are close to nuclear war again.

Upon rewatch, I looked for every hint and foreshadowing of Mae being a fully intelligent human: 1) she’s very pretty and well-kept, a sign that she has some time and resources to stay clean and fully nourished. 2) she’s wearing pants instead of loin clothes, an artifact from her wardrobe in the fallout shelter. 3) she has a stitched-up scar on her arm, meaning herself or someone with some medical knowledge treated her.
