She kinda gave away part of the story here, if one of the movie's themes is whether the family will stick together in hard times, and the audience is supposed to be questioning this watching the movie, we now know in advance they will stick together. Good title though, it's catchy, Cameron is a master at marketing his films, he picked something unusual for Avatar, thus hinting at an interesting turn in the story, but it's still catchy and so incredibly marketable. Hopefully the movie won't be 190 minutes.

Avatar is locations and world building visuals story telling driven film, meaning: Widescreen-extreme wide shots/longer takes (10s - 12s) is so perfect choice because of that and its cinematography is pivotal. Close up shots are over used in the way of water and not the best choice for Avatar Franchise, many jarring cuts and constantly changing shots. its not satisfying. Widescreen shot/Longer take cinematography is powerful and compelling cinema. There is something about it that is so cinema, so engaging and captivating. Avatar 2 & even Marvel are out of touch with that new modern cinematography. These films understand, and have proven/shown us that new level of current modern cinematography: - All quite on the western front - Alpha - The Revenant - Napoleon - Furiosa: Mad Max - Killer of the flower moon - La La Land - Kingdom of The Planet of the Ape... We could notice that They all have this one thing very in common: widescreen shot/long take cinematography: visual story telling. They all embrace, embody and take it to the next level. That’s the key trick, even Marvel does not understand.

Actually Avatar has its great messages and those movies you said (even Apocalypto, which I love) and the movies I said go into another track. These Avatar films are personal themes oriented movies, and have everything Cameron has to talk about environmentalism, family, etcetera All the technical widescreen stuff seems to prove you are a complete ignorant and you even don't know what is dynamic shooting. And compare Marvel with Avatar, lol, Are you kidding? Ah, I forgot it, some of the titles you say have the worst editing I have seen in my life. People is editing movies too fast or too slow, and Furiosa, La La Land, Napoleon and the fake Alpha are flagrant examples of this. And All Quite.. has one the most overrarted photography of cinema's history. Literally I even did not like the shot compositing, and the mud? Why the mud is there in some shots and then disappears? Of course the films will probably be great and communicative. They will advance cinematic technology as in all Cameron films. But I would have preferred that he left this saga to other directors so that he could put his passion and talent into new films. He is not getting any younger and if he continues to make these films, he will no longer have any vital force left for new projects.
