That’s the idea. Wouldn’t want to recommend anything I wouldn’t use.

Great video, as a pointer, you can buy laser measures up to 40 m on Amazon/ eBay for more precise distance

Sounds a good idea. Apparently Google Earth is pretty accurate so distances were about a third short

I came across these the other day on Ali. Im looking at getting an lrf set-up, for times when the wind/ swell is no good for wrassing

Going to try catching a Flounder on it.

It was good that we could do the side by side comparison, nice rod and reel
@TheConstantAngler4 жыл бұрын
Yeh it worked well that. You were throwing it right across with your Teton. Looked good 60ft plus from side
@darrenrodd.4 жыл бұрын
@@TheConstantAngler yeah I think your under estimating the distance I think its a good 60ft wide

That rod would be OK for sea fishing spinning??? I want the 2.3 m /version
@TheConstantAngler3 жыл бұрын
Think they do heavier versions
@Ozmar0013 жыл бұрын
@@TheConstantAngler 2.13 is the most large version... And what do you thing.. Is OK for go spinning sea? I usually use lures 20 o 24g... And about the multifilament 0.23 you thing is OK?
@TheConstantAngler3 жыл бұрын
@@Ozmar001 see the lure rating is 10-30 gr so should be ok. The do a longer 2.28 which is even more👍
@Ozmar0013 жыл бұрын
@@TheConstantAngler yea but the 2.28 is for casting no spinning
@TheConstantAngler3 жыл бұрын
I see. 2.13 should be fine then. Within your lure range. Got to be worth a go

The rod appears to perform better than it looks, but you can't judge a book by it's cover. You like me, and most other anglers, appear to have a serious problem estimating distance. I tend to over estimate. You'd think anglers would be a lot better at it. Google Earth has an accuracy of better than 2% from the scientific papers I've seen, so at worse it's 80' ± 18"
@TheConstantAngler4 жыл бұрын
You’d think 40 years experience would help. But no. I quite like the look of it with a reel on. Does remind me of something you might by a kid though. Great action easy to load. Just need a big Chub or Perch now
