well, I'm a fan of Beast Wars II, and yes, I have seen both BWII as well as Neo. And yes, I hoped they would use the airrazor mold somehow as a basis for a new Magnaboss because that figure bloody needs a new version desperatly (The feet weren't even good when that figure was new)

I have Kingdom Airazor and yes, it is an excellent figure. Both modes look amazing and the transformation is super nice and smooth. Overall, it is an enjoyable figure to mess with. A 10/10 for me as far as I'm concerned.

So, a fantastic bird mode, a fantastic robot mode, and a transformation that seems like relaxing fun. For some reason I keep telling myself I shouldn't get figures if I haven't watched or read the series they're inspired by, but that didn't stop me from getting Kingdom Primal and Cheetor and loving those figures to bits. Hm. Yeah.

I got this last year and not long afterwards the wing broke because every time you wanna get some nice wing poses there is a chance that the tab can force itself past where its meant to and id have to force it back so it eventually broke and I was left with a wingless airrazor, she's definitely not a bad figure! I just didn't get very long with her before she broke, I may just shave off the tabs to avoid it happening again

Good review. A word of warning concerning the wings. Just be careful how you fold them. I wasn't when I was transforming and snapped the part with the tab that goes into the back. Double jointed doesn't guarantee they flop every which direction. I look forward to the more artistic collectors to give her an Aztec warrior repaint and the 3D printers to come up with Hawkgirl's mace.

Man you hit the nail on the head. I have loved every single Beast Wars figure to come out of Kingdom and Hasbro better keep this up and give us the rest of the characters from the show. This Airazor is indeed truly stunning, I wish I had a figure stand so that I could get her into some majestic flight poses, specifically in robot mode. It baffles me that some people will complain about figures this good, they are rare but they will just nitpick the hell out of them and treat those nitpicks as huge deals but will praise other figures that have those same flaws that they’ve nitpicked but will ignore them and act like they aren’t an issue when someone points it out. People seriously think that the realistic beast modes are a bad thing and will act like everyone who likes them is just dumb and brainwashed.(COUGH!!! PerspectiveEnd COUGH!!!) But the realistic beast modes are a stylistic choice much like the Cybertronian alt modes of Siege, they spice things up and give us something awesome, nostalgic, and animation accurate with something new and different while not changing too much. Honestly it’s just the perfect idea for these figures and I really hope Hasbro keeps going with this, you are 100% correct that we need to buy these so that Hasbro will keep making figures like these. And were there seriously Prime figures listed for the Legacy line? I’m going so squeal like a fangirl while at the same time assuming that this line will basically be the new Thrilling 30, now I am super excited! Oh and at 11:34, who would be horny for Airazor when we’ve got Blackarachnia lol.

@@DrLockdown Oh man, I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a Transformers toyline since Studio Series was announced. And that is definitely a good thing, I love hearing people talk about things they like while still acknowledging flaws. I personally try not to talk about things I don’t like because it just feel good, I don’t even know how to describe the feeling. But I am definitely okay with talking about flaws in things I like. I just can’t imagine being negative about everything and I’m really glad that you put out reviews that really tell things how they are and try to keep a good balance between positivity and negativity. You are actually an inspiration for me with my own channel, as your videos are very well made and genuinely hilarious while also being super informative and fun to watch. Ngl I was kinda skeptical about this figure. Airazor has never really stuck out to me as a character, so I figured I'd pass up whatever kingdom offered for her. So I was blown away when my mate got a copy for his collection, and MAN I was so wrong!!! Happy to own her now, she's one of my WFC holy grails, alongside cyclonus and siege scream. Although, that same skepticism hasn't died down for the terrorsaur retool...

I skipped this when I saw it in-store due to the weird bug-eyed paintjob on the eyes. If they'd just made the whole thing green or faded the green into the black it would've been okay, but those stark round pupils just look weird and, combined with the fact that I already saw enough pictures of the beast mode to know that it was a rectangular slab of robot parts with wings on top (a fact that's prominently displayed in this video) it meant that both modes had a significant flaw. I might still pick this up if I see it on special or if I see a loose version used for a decent price, but I won't pay full retail for it. Maybe they'll do a better job with the RotB version.

I'm really glad I skipped this toy now. The new RotB version looks amazing. No weird dot-eyes and a beast mode that actually has a bird's silhouette instead of just being a slab of robot parts with wings and a head attached. Plus it's just got a better design all around, actually using major pieces of the altmode in robot form (seemingly taking notes from Energon Divebomb, which was the previous gold-standard in birdformers) instead of just having everything folded up on the back.

I want a CHUG Strongarm too. Also yes, Airazor is awesome and she was the last drop that made me fall into the bandai figure/flight stand rabbit hole. I don't bother folding her wings most of the times, when in robot mode she is nine times out of ten hovering over the other bots firing her weapons. I'm probably getting Road Rage if they ever make her available here (IMHO she looks better than Tracks). [also a less rickety CHUG Windblade I could actually buy at deluxe price would be swell, but also a CHUG Arcee based on the IDW Transformers vs Terminator design would be very much my definitive Arcee]

I, think I have to disagree. She doesn't have one of the best beast modes. It's not bad! In fact it's quite good! And I want to be clear, I understand all beast-formers will have to compromise on their alt mode somewhat, some more than others. And Airrazor actually handles her robot bits quite well! But I think almost every other kingdom figure does a better job. Maybe besides Dinobot, maybe. The point is, while she is still WONDERFUL idk if she has one of the BEST beast modes.

Okay hear me out here. Studio series 86( i think its 86) hot rod is how you do a fembot. Hands down hot rod is best fembot of the year.

The problem I feel with fembots (at least the G1 fembots) is that they don't look like they transform, there's very little on their bodies to suggest an alternate mode compared to their male counterparts (who straight up wear their alternate mode kibble like clothes), of course, this makes it somewhat difficult for engineers to work with when they need to turn them into a transforming toy. For example, most G1 Arcee figures are practically shell-formers in some way since the original character design was a super feminine robot mode with very little obvious vehicle mode kibble (if I redesigned Arcee everything would mostly be the same except the entire rear end of her car mode become her thighs/legs). Which ends up being problematic since shell-forming is pretty much the only way to do G1 Arcee.

TR Windblade and Robots in Disguise 2015 Windblade were both really good examples of later figures improving on the original version of a female character with a rough first figure. The latter was designed more for kids (ergo having a simpler, more elegant transformation); the former keeps her in the CHUG style while bulking her up to match up with the boys. Those two and the Kingdom beast femmes are proof that you can make fembots that aren’t shell-formers. If only Hasbro/Takara could figure that out for a CERTAIN someone… (Arcee)

I feel like in your reviews you tend to mix professional, technical issues with a toy, with personal preference. And like, every toy is gonna come down to personal preference, but when the video is advertised as a review, I expect more info on the technical issues with the toy, not "The missiles are fine guys, because they don't bother me". At least I expect those two things to be somewhat separated.

I am not well versed in toy reviewage, so let me illustrate with tv shows. The Mandalorian is very much to my preference, I love watching it. But if you asked me if it's a well made show, I would tell you how much stupid writing is in it. Because my personal preference and an evaluation of a product based on criteria agreed upon by most people are two different things.

That's not how birds are supposed to work. Not saying this figure isn't an engineering miracle, but it could bother some people. And also the colors are off from the animation model. Which doesn't bother me personally, but it's worth mentioning. Don't get me wrong, I think she looks great.

Reviewing a falcon as if it was a phoenix! Wait, THAT was the promo pic for Rouge? When even Jobby was disgusted, that's how you know it has gone beyond tastelessness. I'd argue that, for what she's supposed to be, Blackarachnia's a smidge better than Airazor at being a transformable fembot toy. Sure, her spider mode is far from perfect, but at least she achieves it by actually transforming and not having much of a shell cover her. I.e., it truly is the fault of being a realistic-looking spider, while still maintaining the stereotypical female physique the G1 girls are cursed to always have. Though Airazor is otherwise superior outside of that caveat. If Airazor represents what more fembots should strive to be, Blackarachnia is what all fembots who MUST have sexy bodies (e.g. G1-accurate Arcee) must strive to be. For now, will enjoy those two, Slipstream, and my just-arrived Titans Return Arcee: feminine, maybe even sexy, WITHOUT being a shellformer, even if it's coz she used Blurr's mold, but it still shows making a fembot out of a male body is very much a viable option.

@@DrLockdown Sorry if my pics on Discord didn't help with that. But sadly, your best bet is eBay and...yeah... Mine was a case of being super lucky, coz I lost a bid for one for about $45, and that killed my drive to do any future bidding. Then, there was one after that that was 65, got an "interested buyer" discount to bring it down to 60 and out of desperation, I bought that one. Came with the Ultra Magnus head, which I'm trading to a friend for some parts. If someone puts up the figure at least for a lower price and it has a buy option, hit it the moment you see it!
