That's song right there 🪘 ended the concert early, the crowd rush the field, things got out of control. You can see one of the producers on the stage waving to the musicians to end it. Fania got fined $50k. P.S. You and Uncle are awesome 👍

I get too emotional every time I hear Congo Bongo. My speed. I remember looking down from the the bleachers in Yankee Stadium on that evening. Will take it with me to my next life. Forever Fania in my veins and heart.

I love your channel..that concert was at Yankee Stadium in 1973..Fania All Stars was the meeting of the best Latin salsa musicians of the decade. In the end, they had to stop the song because the public was so euphoric, who invaded the stage

Thanks for sharing and enjoy this piece of History, I'm 61 and I was 14 the first time that I listened Congo Bongo and still feel the same Energy every time I listened. My uncle was that night present at Yankee Stadium, and told me that the energy was so overwhelming, that as you can see in the video the people start to lose control and jumped into the scenario. Some of the musicians just left their instruments and run. Certainly the Spirits of African Ancestors was present that night.
