That last note is a Bel Canto style “messa di voce” -- I've mentioned this elsewhere -- probably one of the most difficult things to do vocally.

His first release (Stranger) speaks these words. "Strange land far as I can see. Stranger in a strangers land" Then he sings that he wants to Fly Away. Now his voice in this version of Ave Maria sounds almost like crying and even wailing from time to time. Almost makes me think he is planning a move. I know he just recently had his new house blessed by his Muslim cleric, but I have no idea where it is located. We know that the UN transferred 100 UN workers from Afghanistan to Astana/NUR SULTANA , Kazakhstan and within 24 hours, there was a massive explosion at a Kazakhstan military munitions base. Killing many and injuring many. This was within the last week. I fear for the Kazaks. They have only had their freedom from Russia for 30 years, now this. It may become necessary for Dimash and his family to flee in the not so distant future. Igor owns several properties in Florida and might have influence to get them in if needed. Loved your reaction. His last three noted sustained, might be the most beautiful sound I have heard.

Dimash lives in Nur-Sultan, the modern capital of Kazakhstan (until 1998, the capital of Kazakhstan was the city of Alma-Ata). Before the renaming in 2019, it was called Astana( renamed in honor of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev). Kazakhstan was the last of the 14 republics to secede from Russia in December 1986, the last of the 14 republics. I don't think that Dimash is going to run away from the country, otherwise he wouldn't have bought and consecrated the house. He was going to move to the United States for a while to promote his career. Димаш живет в Нур-Султане, современной столице Казахстана (до 1998 года столицей Казахстана был город Алма -Ата). До переименования в 2019 году называлась Астана( переименована в честь бывшего президента Нурсултана Назарбаева). Казахстан отделился от России в декабре 1986 года, последним из 14 республик. Не думаю, что Димаш собирается убегать из страны, иначе бы не покупал, и не освещал дом. Он собирался переехать в США на некоторое время для продвижения своей карьеры.

THAT LAST NOTE 🤯. It’s a 15 second Messa Di Voce (placing the voice); a very ADVANCED singing technique performed on one note. Basically you crescendo and decrescendo (make it louder than quiet again) the note with only the volume changing-no pitch change, or vibrato change, or tone change, etc. Then, he just lets it fade in air...it’s one of the biggest vocal flexes I’ve ever seen in my life, which had nothing to do with ego and everything to do with servicing the song-WHAT A MASTERPIECE IGOR, DIMASH, AND DIMASH'S TEAM HAVE CREATED 🙌🏼 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿 p.s. if you want to hear what Dimash is doing in the Messa Di Voce, I suggest changing the speed of the video to .5x or even .25x to hear all the intricacies of what he’s doing-the three vertical dots in the upper right hand corner of your video will allow you to do that EDITED TO ADD: the only thing I hear off in Dimash’s MESSA DI VOCE is the vibrato, he loses it in the middle but gets it back in the end. For me it’s one tiny part of a RIDICULOUSLY TOUGH TO EXECUTE vocal technique that has MANY, MANY, DIFFICULT PARTS. He executed it at a World Class level; it just wouldn’t have gotten a perfect ten if it were being scored

“Ave Maria” by conductor Igor Krutoy is a variation on the opening theme (not the introduction, but the singing part) of Schubert's melody adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note: Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)! Wonderful! Also reminiscent of the "Ave Maria" version of Russian V. Vavilov (Caccine) Only Dimash could sing a wordless song and bring you to tears
