Y’all, she’s clearly been working to extend her range and add richness to her tone in the higher register. She couldn’t have done that a few years ago. SO PROUD of the work she’s put in!

Ladies and Gentlemen...KIRSTIN TAYLOR MALDONADO!!!!! The genie is out of the bottle...the beast has been unleashed...there's no turning back now!!! She is not only taking over this group, she's taking over the WORLD!!! I was watching this live on July 4th, and actually screamed "YOU GO GIRL" at my TV! I have literally never said those words before in my life. What a breathtaking, MAGNIFICENT performance! She is now my favorite female vocalist on the planet!

I first watched this in the early morning hours via my DVR. People and pets were sound asleep so I put my headphones on out of courtesy.. but when Kirstie hit that high note I lost it. Both of my arms shot up in the classic "Touchdown!" position and I yelled "YES!" ... startling my daughter's sleeping cat who jumped straight up off my bed then tore out of my room in stark terror like you'd see on a tik tok video 😂 🤣

Matt's base has really matured into liquid gold. My ear always hones in on that silky smooth bass. Kirstin really took things to another level with that beautiful high run. They all did an outstanding job.

Kirstin is wearing a superwoman outfit, very appropriate. This is her most impressive performance. She often gets overpowered by all the guys but she really shines in this one.

I would argue that she works hard to blend with the guys (on purpose) rather than being overpowered. She's a trumpet among violins and yet somehow they have to blend as one when necessary. It's an easily overlooked skill.

I watched the whole special on tv and I was so impressed with the lineup. PTX were among the youngest featured artists and the level of talent was up the roof, military orchestra, opera, Broadway, country singers, everything beautifully and elegantly hosted by Vanessa Williams. I think it says a lot about how appreciated and admired PTX is. So happy for them. They deserve the best. 🤗
