Is the rod and reel balanced nicely? Butt or tip heavy? Thanks and look forward to your reply!

Yeah perf balance butt heavy but whole setup is really light

I'm a fisho and came here to see some (more) footage of the sonio 100m before I pull the trigger. Although, after seing this video, I was left with a completely different question in mind: why fish so many kingies and not keep any? Are they not tasty? (I haven't had the chance to try them myself). I understand fishing for a feed, but not this... These fish you release, they went through a bunch of suffering (beside the fight, they get a damaged mouth, bruises from being swung on the rocks, get lifted by their tail and sometimes bleed quite a bit). Are they one of those species considered a pest in Australia?
@gik292 ай бұрын
or maybe they were under the legal size?
@flickofdaris2 ай бұрын
@@gik29 yeah its a great rod man and majority were under sized thats why throw back only managed one legal
@gik292 ай бұрын
Thanks for your reply, I thought of the legal size but a little too late 😅 It's a sizeable investment, this rod-reel combo, I wonder how much better it is than my current 7ft Daiwa TD Zero and Stradic. Probably night and day!

Good day mate… New sub here and enjoying the vid.. I’m just curious and in your honest opinion is the Sonio worth the money?? I’m thinking of getting one but just too expensive and is there any something out there a bit closer to Sonio and of course a bit cheaper. don’t get me wrong I understand the thing “you get what you pay for” but just want ask real world user if it is worth or a rod.. your advice and opinion would be much appreciated, keep up the nice video and good luck!!!
@flickofdaris3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate appreciate it, to be honest im still new to fishing so not so knowledgable on rod specs and how they all perform been fishing for a yr n abit so still learning with all the different rods and stuff but i just found myself endlessly buying different gear and ended up getting the zenaq sonio just to save myself buying anything else if you can get it so worth it very responsive rod you feel your lure movement on point, strong rod also as well as lightweight perfect for endless jigging not so much a workout on the shoulder & cast a mile too you wont need anything else so id honestly lock it in coz eventually you’ll get it by the time you buy a few rods couldve just got one. Also pretty much cast anything in the lure box covers wide range of casting weight from 10g-100g Another medium price range rod thats similar to it would probably be the daiwa seajigger or an ocean legacy specialist long cast pe 2-4 is also pretty good. Goodluck bro

@@flickofdaris thank you.. yes just got my sonio today I got the RG guide and too late for me on buying too many rods got heaps of them 😂.. but yeah this my most expensive one so I’m off loading some of my gears, can’t wait to have a go with it and catch some good fish... Good luck and wishing you all the big fish on that nice rod..Keep the channel going🤙🏽 Ps: What reel size and line you match with your Sonio? Cheers

@@flickofdaris i am about to change my shore jig set. Thats why i am asking:) Actually i want to buy an accura 100H but i have some shoulder issues and i want My set up a bit lighter:) so i’ve decided to buy a sonio and a twinpower 6000xg. How is the performance of sonio with 80-100gr jigs and 50-70gr plugs if you had experienced before of course:) i would be glad if you answer these. I am a lil bit concerned because My former rod was a daiwa shore spartan 96hhz which allows to perform jigs up to 120gr and plugs up to 70gr.
