I wonder how much fuel will it take for 100 mile tour?

Hi this is a stupid question but can u use this boat for oceanic. travel like what sailboats do?
@GalleonMarineRichmond5 жыл бұрын
Sailboat's tend to be heavier vessels making them much more comfortable in less than favourable conditions. While this boat is a solid, heavy gauge aluminum hull it will never be as inherently stable as a similarly sized sail boat. Beyond the comfort, the vessel is only limited by it's fuel range.

that's not a stupid question, its something that you want to know what its quality as a boat.

All the kingfisher boats strictly outboards? I’d love to have a kingfisher design with twin diesel inboard outboard
@GalleonMarineRichmond5 жыл бұрын
They did try to do a diesel powered 30 footer in the late 2000's it was short lived and they only made about a half dozen of them. It's was called the 3050. Actually ran quite nice but the engine took up deck space and was shoe-horned in making it brutal to service. They then tried again with the 33 footer but couldn't get the boat to run right with diesels. I think it porpoised. There really is not much of a benefit to get diesel besides fuel economy, and if a 300hp outboard costs $28,000 and a 300 hp diesel stern-drive package costs $40,000 then how many years is it going to take to re-coup that cost difference in fuel savings?

What does the new luxury tax on the price ?
@GalleonMarineRichmond3 жыл бұрын
We're actually just learning the details now. I believe it's 20% on anything over 250,000CAD. They've been talking about this tax for years and it's always been discussed at the 100,000 level. We are very pleased it's set as high as it is, but obviously it's going to drastically hurt sales of high end product going forward.

@@GalleonMarineRichmond Those customers shouldn't have an issue paying the tax, right?
@GalleonMarineRichmond2 жыл бұрын
@@JustMike2791 It's one of those things where it's not about the $$$ it's the annoyance that it's more cash for the same product.

Looks like it rides rough
@GalleonMarineRichmond2 жыл бұрын
The video really never does justice to the water conditions. Aluminum boats are inherently rougher than fiberglass due to them being a lighter material (hence why they all have suspension seats), the bonus is with their fuel economy. Everything on every boat is a compromise one way or another. If you want comfort, you cannot beat heavy fiberglass, if you want fuel economy, then aluminum.

I'm waiting for the day Kingfisher actually does some work for all the money they ask and put in the rod holders in the boat instead of making the customer do it themselves.....the ones in the gunnels....
