What do you mean sustained shes right. Your only argument is the drone operator cant be identified by photo like a soldier on the ground can which makes this a PR stunt.
@WickedWeaseification23 күн бұрын
That part of the scene was nonsensical altogether. An objection must be followed by the type of objection it is before a ruling by the judge. i.e. Hearsay, Speculation, or in this particular case, Testifying. That could be a sustainable objection with the way she phrased the question and it would be up to the judge to decide. Considering this judge's attitude, I doubt any objection would've been overruled.

I “hate” to say this but being an Army vet in Iraq, I will never see drone operators in US as “part of the battlefield.” Sorry guys. At least the Navy is in water close by offering support. But being able to go home every day, is not a deployment.
@TheLitRight21 күн бұрын
Even the Navy are in danger. Just ask the Russian ship that was sank off the coast of Ukraine. Drone operators are glorified video game players - they’re as much “veterans” as a Call of Duty player, but with even less credibility because at least the CoD player earned their killstreak. There is a zero percent chance these guys would ever be fired upon by the enemy. They’ve got more casualties to crack whores on the strip than from jihadi’s in the Middle East.

There are definitely glaring omissions, partial truths and edited time lines, when it comes to western stories and films set in 1979 Iran... I'm far from an expert, just a history sponge. Unfortunately, from a young age, most kids, no matter what country they are raised in, are taught history through rose colored glasses and/or biased sources... The gritty, dark, tragic truths are rarely told. Which is mainly why history tends to repeat itself. It's not just America though. Fortunately, at least for those of us that WANT the truth and want to learn, there are writers and documentaries these days that are trying to bring us that. They aren't Hollywood Blockbusters, but they're out there. I wish more people cared, but they don't.

That is the thing about the law or at least the court unless someone can come up with this argument or something similar during the trial the jurors will think her point makes sense and will rule in her favor as long as it kinda makes sense and there is no point against it it's good enough that's why people even do public trials with jurors cause they aren't trained to see all the directions as a judge hopefully is and can be kinda tricked into agreeing with the accused
