I cannot believe nearly 99% of these wonderful dancers are tapping it out in heaven! What fantastic memories these bring. At 66 yrs old, I can remember most of these movies. Just think...the new generation should watch and respect their elders to be sure..don't they wish they could be as cool as their Grandparents & Great Grandparents were???!! Next time they knock the "Boomers"...just watch this and realize these people looked better than them, danced better than they ever could begin and they are the "Boomers" Grandparents here!!! GREAT VIDEO Thanks

@@floppypoppylopyupasopymopy7015 - I too, sadly, have to agree...we just see too much of what you speak to. So much has been turned on its head. People scorn the very things that makes America beautiful, hopeful and appealing in exchange for doom and gloom, bad attitudes, self hate and everything Negative - it's all we see day in and day out and it's all very depressing. Which is why I am so grateful to stumble on videos like this. They take me away for a few minutes...

@User Name One would like to think so, but, not so much, especially for actresses. I have to disagree about the good manners, thing, as well. Good manners were for the righteous and all the rest were curs. When movies and then tv came out, the vaudville business just went there. Up 'til then, vaudville was just a continuous on the road circuit, and ain't nothing classy or mannerly about that life. They put on a good show, though, for their righteously good customers, and that carried on into forties and fifties video.

You forgot the most important part, the ear. You could do this blind, but you'd be pushing to do it deaf. Although a loud sub woofer would help. Feel the bass. I ran a nightclub disco many years ago and this extended single was always a great way to fill the dancefloor.

These classic dance videos are a wonderful trip back through time. The use of more modern music with the top dancers of an era of musicals in the movies is most enjoyable and shows how those dancers would handle dancing to modern music. Keep them coming we all need to see these videos.

The selection is a wonderful flashback to my early movie vewing years. The Donna Reed frame is genius. The technical achievement in this video is one of the best I have ever seen of these old movie dancers to modern music mashups. Amazing syncing of words/music matching. I binge watch these kinds of vids, with lots of stop action studying the form and the astonishing choreography of the dancers. Mind blowing really looking at some (all?) as still photos. Wow! Barbara Stanwick is a mind blowing opposite of choreography. The bit is in two parts with Babs. One more hysterical than the other.

I've watch a lot of this kind of mash up. but this is by far the best composed, best executed one I've ever seen. I was really worried Gene Kelly was going to be missing, but no, there is was near the end. Mickey Rooney really could dance, he doesn't get enough credit for that talent. And the entro-outtro of the broken record was great.

Dancers at the top of their game, as you see from my profile I hail from the Rockabilly scene, 30+ years ago my pal did a dance style called the Phantom, he literally looked like he was floating inches off the ground also he and a small group of friends developed a swing dance style that through their desire to get laid is now danced around the world! @@spaceghost8995 Yes, this video is a reflection of history where there were a lot of white people on the big screen and very few people of color. You can point that out. But why? People are coming here to enjoy seeing people from the past dance to modern music. It is actually a unifying thing. Many people from the present have not been able to appreciate that the dancers from way back before their time were just as talented and interesting to watch as dancers in the present. It is not that black dancers are not represented here. They are amazing. If Michael Jackson, whom you would agree is believed to be the greatest dancer of the 20th century, learned from and appreciated the talents of Fred Astair and Cid Charice enough to pay tribute to them in his work, then you can enjoy this video with the rest of those who are here watching simply because it is a great piece of work.
