Good morning from Cape Cod 🦈 I've done a few clutches in my day that were actually enjoyable compared to what you just videoed and shared with us, holy crap! We don't want to watch you video your demise, even though it might go viral 😉 you've got a good friend in Sir Rodney, the length that he goes through to source parts is amazing. Oh man, that cat is a pain to work on. The clutch assembly is a nightmare. When it gets to the point that it's easier to take the engine out, then you just know this beast wasn't designed to be easily worked on. Oh well, have another drink! 😉

KOO, FYI, There is a special Instruction booklet on the Caterpillar D6 9u oil clutch , Caterpillar form # 137- 30731-2, I have one for a Cat #12 , but it’s different , cheers Ken

I prefer the flux core wire to solid wire and gas for the reason you mentioned 11:18 plus you can weld in some wind and still have good welds.

I'm right with you on poor design complaints. Whenever I'm doing mechanical work it seems like there's always a reason to scratch my head about it. Engineers seem to exclude the mechanics when they create components.

they are a common seal and i will find the information for you tonight. living in argentaina is about the same as living up in northern canada, you have to figure it out and make it work thansk

no, it would take too much beverage to weld it back together. i will be putting an order in for 3 more gas motors from Graves Tractor Salvage to get the last 3 IH cats up and going thansk
