Miss Netta famous for her TikTok lives and cooking for her man Charles has been getting a lot of backlash after her live on TikTok and her comments on Black women and people in general. I need my sister to log off and I need us to leave her alone if we are truly annoyed.

But she never used “us” as to why her life is horrible. She simply said black women are ignorant and she doesn’t want to be black and this basically goes back to how black woman have treated her since she’s been on these different platforms. That’s the bigger picture overall. He’s right. A lot of black women have been mean to her. I personally have not seen any white women doing this. Netta was technically right. She’s hurt and while saying what she said in the manner of how she did was not right, she was correct. She’s valid in her feelings and I empathize with her from that standpoint. That’s it. Like no one can sit here and play victim and include themselves in something just because they can identify with the demographic or group of individuals that she spoke about. I don’t see y’all talking about being sick and tired of people literally being nasty and picking on her. 98% of the people that comment on her content join the bandwagon and hide behind the screen like the bullies they are and pick right along with the others people it’s easier to be mean for some reason than it is to be nice. If you don’t like her don’t watch her. It’s that simple. She isn’t affecting your personal life or anyone else’s for that matter in any way that would prevent you from living day to day. It’s not this serious. No one can sit here and say for a fact that black women have never deconstructed her as a person. She’s human at the end of the day and when you keep poking the bear that’s what happens. People lash out and I feel like that’s what the world wanted. They wanted Netta to respond like this just to set her up for failure and bash her even more even though it was those on social media that contributed to this problem. Smh it doesn’t make sense.

I don't think it was an excuse at all. The main argument of the video was "stay on topic when calling out misogynior, don't resort to fighting bigotry with bigotry". The fact of the matter is that the more marginalized you are, the more vitriol you will get when you do something wrong and it is often disproportionate, especially compared to similar actions committed by more privileged individuals. We as Black women should know this especially. Justin never said Netta is allowed to talk horrible about Black women because of their gender presentation or made any excuses. He pointed out that people are using what was said about BW to justify saying vile and bigoted things about Netta. It's not productive and it recreates a lot of misogynistic, colorist, and overall anti-Black ideology that people claim to fight against in the first place. We do not have to resort to recreating oppression to hold other folks accountable for how they talk about Black women. That's the point of the video.

I don't know much about Mrs. Netta, but I will try my best to explain with the context that I do have. I may not be 100% correct, but this is my best take on it. I'd take a trans person's explanation over mine though. You can experience a form of bigotry even if you don't necessarily belong to that group. You don't have to be disabled to experience ableism. You don't have to be Black, to experience racism rooted in Antiblackness, and in the same vein you don't have to be trans to experience transphobia. Miss Netta doesn't identify as trans, but he is a feminine-presenting man that picked up the title "Miss". His gender presentation does not fit the social norms, and gender non-conforming folks often fall into the trans umbrella if they choose to identify as such. Since all of the bullying seems to be linked to Netta's gender presentation and speculations about their gender identity, it is transphobia. Another example of non-trans (cis) people experiencing transphobia is when cis Black women experience bullying/or violence because someone suspects they are trans, like when celebrities get called men or when that woman was physically assaulted because someone assumed she was trans. That is how transphobic violence can be put onto cisgender people. Similar scenario if say a Samoan person was mistaken as Black and so someone called them the N word and slashed their tires. That would be anti-Black racism despite the person not being Black. I hope that was a helpful explanation.

this generation’s understanding of queerness is distinct from Miss Netta’s - She’s an old gay/queer so his understanding of his identity doesn’t fit into the boxes the community developed today. See old TS Madison interviews or talks with Big Freedia - they both discuss the gap between current gays and old gays, their perceived societal constructs often rooted in the generation they were born in. Same way old Black folk fought for civil rights but in the same breath will shame anyone who wears locs. They are from a different time

Fascination with people who different or undesirable is nothing new, think back to when circuses incorporated “freaks” as a side show. People would travel for miles and wait in lines to see The Bearded Lady, The Giant and The Imp, the WolfMan, or The Four Legged Lady. TikTok is a modern day circus, and people like Mrs. Netta and Shamar for instance are the new “Freaks of Nature”. It’s a sad and disgusting truth, but it is the reality.

Trans women make my arse itch. They want to be looked at as a woman. So we oblige. Then when we identify them as woman they are quick to tell you I’m trans. They tend to be disingenuous about bottom surgery and why most of them don’t get it. They want to force themselves into bio women spaces and yet say their experience is diff which I agree. At this point I think all their disingenuous, gaslighting and hypocrisy is due to them wanting to compete with women while still holding on to misogyny. I want to know why. Basically what they are saying when they say they are woman too, is I’m sleeping with the same men bio women date, marry and have kids with. Therefore I am a woman cause yo nicca is attracted to me and we hunching🤷🏽‍♀️

The blk trans /queer communuty has alway found companionship with cis black women and that doesnt mean cis black women havent been at the shit end of the stick when the members of he queer community dog on black women , however it also doesnt mean all blk women have always or ever will be supportive if the queer community and some infact dog the queer community out to , its a double edge sword with a lot of nuances .

I think Justin projects when it comes to desirability and being of a darker complexion I think he thinks of himself as those and that's why he empathize with Joe..Why is it Bio Women can get called out their names drug up and down by G@y men and its to be laughed at with no label,,but when Bio women call G@y men out their name and drag them it's then a label of homophobia? Joe don't care for Black (women) simply because she knows thats what her Man likes also..So she tries to belittle, degrade, name call,etc..Hoping that she can sway her Man's thoughts on BW as well to get him to look at BW in the same light as she sees BW..In hopes to sway his perception and attraction to them..Nothing but INSECURITIES nobody's picking on her no more than they do anyone else out here with a platform..People tend to drag whatever someone's insecurities, lowest moments, disabilities, etc if they come out here and its displayed that includes looks, weight, skin, living conditions, anything thats visable to the viewers they'll pick you apart for it..I'm not saying none of its right because its not..And she doesn't id herself as LGBTQUIA,thats everyone else putting her in the community..

However to make an anti-black blanket statement about ALL black women when there's a large number of black women who haven't even heard of her. so like ya I guess you can't tell someone how to respond, but you also aren't free from being called in if the response is just as bad. Cause what you mean, Black women are "dumb" and you wanna be a white women.......

@@thePLAINESTjaneDesirability is not about whether one finds themselves attractive or not. It is about historical systems of oppression determining who society finds desirable and therefore valuable overall and who benefits from these things. Black people are absolutely beautiful, but we know that anti-Black racism has made it so Black features are typically deemed "undesirable". That is why colorism is rampant. That is why people still say horrific things about type 4 hair and other features attributed to our race. Justin is attractive and I'm sure he thinks so as well, but he lives in a reality where he knows that he is a dark skinned, plus sized, gay Black man that is somewhat feminine and society does not deem these attributes "desirable" or value them. That can be reflected in society as a whole, but also in subcultures like the gay community where "No blacks, no fats, no femmes", is a thing. Desirability is political. It's not about preference or self-perception.

She genuinely needs to he gently educated and have her world view transformed, and it will be very difficult for her to receive any grace because people are annoyed that she still has a confidence and slick mouth which seems undeserving of someone who looks and presents like her. I wish her nothing but love peace Education and success honestly. Her existing is a Revolutionary act on its own even if she is mean. She's just as combative and disrespectful as Cardi B and Yung Miami et Al and see how they are allowed to exist

I said the same thing it's easy. Ms Netta and Charles have no power or privilege. Just a bunch of people bullying them. All because yall dont find her desirable is fact. Yes Ms Netta is wrong for saying the stuff she said. Also it's a reason why she's reacting this way. Alot of y'all are being very rude, nasty, mean. Anti Black towards her. People like Ms Netta and Charles to get to exist. Even if alot of y'all don't want them to exist.

Never watched the person you talking about. Tired of being roped in as black women. Black women have an array of opinions, talents, flaws, etc. Always having to justify our positions. If you don't like someone don't watch don't support but some people cant get enough of what would say they would not indulge in like actually like Black women, see other people got through problems you wouldn't think you have, envy, appearance and shame. Nope me😮

I don’t have TickTock and I only hear what you and other people say about them. But don’t emulate black women and then disrespect black women. It isn’t okay and I won’t tolerate that nonsense! I hope people stop making people like her famous! Withdraw your support and move on!

People have platformed Ms. Netta and have been parading her to receive likes, views, and any other type of engagement because her looks. Yall have been anti-black, misogynist, and transphobic to her. Ms. Netta started to receive all compensation and all hell broke loose. Yall wanted Ms. Netta to remain sharing her meals with Charles and not gain any type of compensation for it. And the only reason why most of you are going in on her is because she's 'undesirable.' Let's critique her anti-blackness and misogynoir, HOWEVER, check how you've been anti-black and transphobic, too and avoid talking about her looks and her 'undesireability.' And yes, Craig is absolutely transphobic, and TS (even as a trans woman) is complicit in that transphobia.

It’s definitely a current social war on undesirable black feminine people /women. I think it’s black ppl in general but undesirability is being used as the canary in the coal mine test so to say. If you can’t be “beautiful” you must be an endless entertaining and agreeable spectacle. Reminiscent of your Shamar vid.
