Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way” The gentleman playing the Kobyz is master Olzhas Qurmanbeck, the best player in Kazakhstan 🎻🔝 The Kobyz is the first stringed instrument ever. Kobyz is an ancient tool of the Kazakh people. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. The open body and strings of the kobyz from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horse hair give a very thick, overtone-rich timbre. 🔝🔝

Once, when Dimash was on The World's Best competition (not recommended), one of the judges said "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should". Meanwhile, he was in a competition - aren't you supposed to be trying your best?. He grew up winning singing competitions because of the unique range of his voice, and composer Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to write music specifically for Dimash's voice. These unique songs, which no one else is likely to cover, are going to be the ones that get suggested to reactors. You might enjoy seeing an older song, "Dearest Mother", where Dimash sings with both of his parents. The song was written by Dimash's father for his grandmother, who was in the audience. You get to see the relationship between Dimash's high notes and those of his mother, who sings opera.

Good reaction. Dimash was born with absolute perfect pitch, but he took it the next level with more than 20 years of formal music training and continually working with vocal coaches . He is university-trained in classical and contemporary music. He's either finished his music Ph.D. or he's close to done. Dimash is incredibly driven to constantly improve himself and his music skill. It shows when comparing excellent versions of songs he performed years early to even better performances of the same songs more recently.

I was one of those fans that went off half cocked and I am sorry for jumping to conclusions. 😭Dimash inspires his Dears to build bridges of understanding and I definately failed in this case.😢 I will work on my "pause mode".🤔🤔 Your reaction to Stranger/New Wave was very good. You looked a bit overwhelmed and I empathise there. I believe Dimash very carefully plans everything for greatest impact and Drama because he believes so intensely in his work. ❤️‍🔥 This song did its magic on me and got me thinking more about newcomers forced to leave their homes and start again. I love the way he uses his voice in the middle to suggest different cutures, men, women and the high pitched wail of children. Wonderful reaction. I smiled a lot because of your facial expressions😅. He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that. The kobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship. Please react next to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war😅.! It’s absolutely stunning. Look, this is your channel, and you do you. Be, however, l hope, prepared to receive constructive criticism to your reactions. Dimash is on a different level to most, if not all, singers, and he is the complete package. By this, I mean vocally, musicality, and stage presence and showmanship. He has I nate talent, but has so honed his craft from the age of 5 years and daily practices at 4 to 5 hours. He is very hard working and wants to produce e the perfect product, which he delivers most of the time. He always Dimash slaps you and leaves you Dimashified. So my advice to you is to choose your criticisms carefully as his dears are very sensitive. I do enjoy your reactions . I suggest you try S reaming or Ikanaide next as the one is a music video and the other is a studio version. You will not e disappointed

Octavs are diferent notes from A to D ,so he can go even in a wislet impisible note done by a human like D8 ( never a human did that) and fry vocals really deep ,really deep ( like how you imitate a demon😅). Do you mean OCTAVES? And REGISTERS are generaly referred to when you say Tenor, Soprano, Contralto, Bass and baritone At the beginning sounds an old Turkic stringed instrument called Kobys. It is probably the oldest bowed stringed instrument in the world and it spread to became the prototype of all European string instruments as violin an chello. That and the use of the fa minor key in the composition gives the vibe of Middle East /oriental/ exotic sound. Think he´s singing to migrants in general: "New ground far as I can see, new ground underneath my feet, Stranger in a stranger land, new chance to see who I am if I have the strength to begin again"
