This whole show is amazing, but what is really standing out to me is Joe’s roleplaying as the Handler. I knew he was good, but he adds so much to every scene with the agents!

LOL on the US Postal Inspector jokes. NO LIE though, when I was in law school in NYC in the early Nineties, the criminal procedure teacher who had worked as a federal prosecutor said the best investigators around weren't FBI, they were US Postal Inspection Service agents. You go get that thing done, Agent Maybelline.

I immediately recognized the reference to Purson, a demon of the Ars Goetia. Here's the description: "He knows of hidden things, can find treasures, and tells past, present and future. Taking a human or aerial body he answers truly of all secret and divine things of Earth and the creation of the world. He also brings good familiars. Purson is depicted as a man with the face of a lion, carrying a ferocious viper in his hand, and riding a bear. Before him, there can be heard many trumpets sounding. This demon blows internal trumpets, and is believed connected to the revelator to the Antichrist." Really cool how this was brought into the narrative and makes me wish the agents had pursued the guy with the snake, but kind of relieved for their sake that they didn't!

I am incredibly surprised by how well 2 hour episodes work. I myself am a longer form storyteller, my games usually take 6-8 hours, even ones with just one-two players, but your style seems to work so well for the game's genre! Looking forward to more episodes (I just found you guys randomly browsing twitch), hope I'll learn something about shorter form and pacing along with enjoying the superb cast and handler!

I know this is really old, but hopefully they realize Polaroids don't need to be developed. They're instant cameras. The photo zips out of the bottom of the camera. Unsure if law enforcement also took better photos (maybe with a 35mm?) that would need to be developed later. But they definitely used poloroids!

Chessboard with only Kings. Stalemate. Symbolic in this, and in every operation is that there is no winning, ever. The struggle is eternal. No resolution and only survival. Except! for Joe O´Brien who nails it every time. I´ll have whatever he´s having for those turbocharges. I´m practically trying to extend his techniques to my group and playing. And can´t help hearing Steven Seagals film characters in Troys Roger Cumstone...😄. Can´t stop watching this (Is there a 12-step program...?).

Polaroids develop automatically, the camera spits out a photo of a specific size right after taking a pic. If you have to develop the film, you are not using a Polaroid camera. Also, earlier I noticed yall passing out pics like candy, you'd have to take a bunch of pics of the same thing for that, whereas if you had to develop it you could get copies and different sizes.

Also when I usually run longer sessions but I can see the pros of running shorter sessions, something to think about.

Impossible Landscapes is a monster of a campaign. Depending on how long they take to get to each major point, it's going to be years. The full campaign goes over multiple decades and locations. They've committed to doing the full thing, so we'll have to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Courtney and Rob that is some good news, love this AND Masks. They're really branching out. Well probably get more of a concrete idea of their Pathfinder plan when they get current with Strange Aeons. They're really going all in. Long running campaigns like Masks and Landscapes will keep us invested for a while, I imagine a lot of us will eventually have to pick one to focus on - not a bad thing, they're becoming a true network - love what Jared is doing too

Wouldn't an all king game of chess take forever? You can't move a king into check, so you could never get within one square of an opposing king.
@Ryotbh5 ай бұрын
The game would invariably result in a draw after 75 turns, assuming FIDE's 75-move rule is in affect; "75-move rule: 9.6. 2 The game is drawn if the last 75 moves have been completed by each player without the movement of any pawn and without any capture."
