Great to see such a wonderful video of King’s Lynn. I lived there in the 60s/70s. Good to see the two houses I lived in in Nelson St. ( Lath St in medieval days) including my flat in Hampton Court, the red medieval house and S. Margaret’s Church, where I worshiped.

I grew up in Kings Lynn, my Dad was a policeman there, every Christmas there was a huge party in the Town Hall for children, thank you for the memories 😊 still love Lynn

I spent my childhood there, went to school there, I thought I knew every centimetre of the place but this video really opened my eyes to how nice it is. It also helps if the weather is as nice as it was on the day this was filmed 😊

my favourite town to go to every other Saturday for a few hours when I was living in Norfolk and if I had the money I would move back to Norfolk especially Lynn as I love the place as I grew up in a small town just down the A47 called Swaffham which was my home town for 24 years

Such a great video, my friend and a lovely walk I’ve lived in Kings Lynn on and off all my life and moved away many times, but I always come back to this beautiful town We have some truly unbelievable architecture and history and culture and year-on-year more people are exploring it for themselves and this is a very good video which will help bring more people into this beautiful town. Kings Lynn was my nearest town when I was a kid .My mum myself and my baby brother used to walk to the nearest station I think it was Grimston and get on the steam train, my mother used to chat up the guard and he used to put my brothers pram in the guards van. It was great fun travelling in the guards van to Lynn all gone now what a shame.

8:33 the clock on the right hand tower is actually a moon clock. The central disc shows the phases of the moon and the pointer shows when the high tide is due, the 12 hours of the day being represented by the 12 letters in the phrase “LYNN HIGH TIDE” which is inscribed around the edge. I think this is the only one in existence in Britain.

What a great video . I’ve often wanted to explore kings Lynne I travel up on the train from Bedfordshire to go there to catch t h the bus to Hunstanton so I’ve only seen the train station and bus station . So I must pay it a proper visit

Was also known as 'Bishops Lynn' due to the connection with the Bishops of Norwich. Henry VIII cut those ties and Lynn became Royal Land in 1537, renamed Kings Lynn. Locals know it as Two Coats Lynn due to the wind. It said if you need one coat inland you will need Two in Kings Lynn. Also not far away is Heacham, birth place of John Rolfe who married Pocahontas. and Burnham Thorpe the birthplace of Horatio Nelson. Horatio, the 6th of 11 children was born on 29th September 1758 at the Parsonage.

Hi there, the main festival is on the Tuesday marketplace where they a build a Stage Later during the Festival Too ! As a person in kings Lynn I’ll be the only one so far telling the truth kings Lynn is runned down wasn’t like it use to be the town is done crime rate is mental for one and not a peaceful place to live if you heard half the stories you wouldn’t even feel comfortable driving throw kings Lynn lol but on that note I love kings Lynn and will never move 😂
