The Prophet once says, to which I translated: They who strive to gain knowledge, Allah will make it easy for them to go to heaven"
@iamabird67394 жыл бұрын
@ً ً the thing is, Islam has taught that the happiness that the Lord has promised his servants is happiness unimaginable. Simply meaning as a human being the concept is out of our grasp. But the idea is, u won't have any problems and will always be happy. It's not just "eternal happiness" it's the true happiness and peace we and no one has ever felt in this limited world. Allah says in the Quran to which I translated: "Ask whatever you may want, and on Our side, there is more." meaning no matter how much u desire, the Lord will always have more for u. There is absolutely no way it can be boring. We say these things because we thought it's the same on earth minus the problems. The Prophet himself has said that humans judge on what they see. meaning we can only know what is known to us. Jazakallahu khairan, may this helps improve ur understanding.

The one who abolished slavery, the one who successfully promotes true equality between races, the who raise the place of women, the one who, in the land of nothing but sand, create the beginning of a civilization that would be remembered throughout the world, the who liberate the Arabia and all of human beings by bringing the message of the Lord, the one who was stoned, who was exiled by his own family, was sent assassins to kill him, was sent an army as huge as 10:1 against his own to destroy him, the one who, if not for him, you won't even be able to read this facts about him. You could find all of the most suffering human being in the world and none can be compared to his. He is a king who lives like a slave. He tie a stone to his stomach cuz he eats that little. People around him, respect him, revere him for his manner and his akhlak. He would never insult a person. He is the best human being that ever lived. That is the prophet that i know of. As a practicing American born and raised convert to Sunni Islam. I am left speechless, amazed and humbled from the level of tact, respect and objectivity of this video. This is one of my favorite channels and definitely one of the best on KZbin. Nothing but great beneficial content. Just a note - Ibn Taymiyyah was born into servitude but was emancipated and went on to become a scholar of every theological discipline in Islam as well as medicine. His essays and teachings on core belief - عقيدة “creed/core belief” refuted the heresies of his time and those of today. He was also not an Arab like many of the greatest scholars of early Islam. Especially in the science of hadeeth. His being mentioned in this video pretty much about made me cry. You guys do an awesome job. Thanks.

Brother, don't try to deceive yourself. When civilization is called Islamic! Everyone knows that it is an Arab civilization and that it belongs to the Arabs. Its rulers are Arabs. Her religion is Arabic. Its culture is Arab. You must accept your reality and not use Islam as an excuse. Were it not for the swords of the Arabs, I would not have converted to Islam. Rather, your ancestors converted to Islam voluntarily, unwillingly, and out of fear. Therefore, do not be arrogant and do not try to steal the achievements of your Arab rulers and masters.

I’ve heard people try to diminish the accomplishments of this time period because they essentially collected the knowledge of other places, which is like saying that libraries before the internet weren’t important because they didn’t write the books they collect. Without those collections and commentaries there wouldn’t have been a renaissance for who knows how long.
@yasserotmani24584 жыл бұрын
The collection and commentary on the works of former civilizations was only during he early period, as the years passed the local scholars added their own scholarship to the stock of human knowledge. Liek for example Alhazen ibn al-Haytham who critiqued the inherited Greek theories of light and vision, in his ‘Kitab al-Manadir’ 'Book of Optics', and managed to create his own experimentally tested theories to replace them, thereby ushering the first building blocks for the modern understanding of how human vision takes place. Ibn al-Haytham is credited with explaining the nature of light and vision, through using a dark chamber he called “al-Bayt al-Mudhlim”, which has the Latin translation as the “camera obscura”; the device that forms the basis of photography.

"Hafeth" is a title given to the person who memorizes over 100,000 of "Hadeeth" (what the prophet peace be upon him said and did) including the body of Hadeeth (what the prophet said peace be upon him) and the series of narrators who passed the body of the Hadeeth until it was documented. there are other titles, "Al Hakem" the one who memorizes 300,000 Hadeath. Actually, JC had already postulated "Give unto Caesar what belongs...". But this video ignores the real issue: the FATWA, and what happened when the Arabs and their culture managed to become a majority. It wasn't the Mongols that brought an end to the so-called "Golden Age", it was Islam itself. There was never an infrastructure within which the ideas of a few great men could flourish and take root and become institutionalized. All cultures have their geniuses, but all cultures don't have the capacity to absorb the work of these few individuals. Al-Gazali had the authority to issue a Fatwa, and almost did against Ibn-Senna, which would have condemned him to death. Once Fatwa became instituted, all the knowledge from India to Iberia, that was the accumulation of the work of mainly Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, and Hindus, was marginalized and eventually died out. There was no widespread system of learning. Islam is notorious for making no distinctions between religion and all human endeavors, not sure where the narrator got the notion to the contrary. Sharia is completely institutionalized, and once the arabs and the muslim majorities, forced or self-converted, became the majority, the Sharia prevailed. Sharia is a complete social order- hence the early thinking along lines we would cal sociology. One royal funded "House of Wisdom" is not going to furnish an entire civilization with the infrastructure to make innovations and knowledge take hold and become integral to that civilization. The Christians were great at this. Islam can't do it to this day, even with all their massive wealth. The influence of the so-called "House of Wisdom" has been greatly exaggerated, the proof of it is that not much came of it. That Greek philosophy was solely transmitted by Islam, is absurd. Constantinople didn't fall till 1453- did the Greeks just forget about their own philosophy? Who do you think was making the translations in Bagdad, the Chinese?

@MDM "Soviet and communist had the moral high ground " Your Anti-Christian bias is showing
@omarn76504 жыл бұрын
MDM It's evident that your views are produced from a more Europeanized framework as oppose to a global one (ofcourse this isn't a problem as natural bias Is inevitable, we can only strive for it). When for centuries oppressive religious institutions dim the light of knowledge within much of middle age Europe, one can only think of religion as that. Clearly, in the video above, we see that not to be the case- a religious society ruled and governed by religion yet fueled on the ink of the scholars' pens. Also, there was a different situation in southern Europe as they weren't so 'dark' as their neighbours to the north, and yet religion was also what they revolved around. Speaking from an Islamic standpoint, we are ordered in the Quran to ponder at the creations of Allah, to look at the sky, and often, we are commanded to think. It is necessary in Islam for one to think about religion rather than jump right in - this can be seen when God refers to the non-muslims or the infidels not as people who are just simply wrong, but rather as people who do not think. Islam is a religion which commands us to think and use reason, the fruits of thinking, is that you will become more grounded In your principles and faith, ( no religion should feel insecure about being false if they are the true religion). You used the example of Saudi Arabia, there really isn't anything religious about them, they just implement the laws to gain the support of a large strict religious movement that arose in the 18th-19th centuries (wahhabiya). Saudi Arabia isn't anything but a business in the middle East. However, Iran is a country that resembles more of the Islamic nation (although there are aspects that it must change) Iran actually funds extensively into education and is known for it as well.
@omarn76504 жыл бұрын
MDM I'm not shunning anybody, nor did I say I oppose a certain 'sect'. Bin Laden and his group although some might say are influenced by Saudi Arabia, doesn't mean the majority of Saudi Arabia is fanatic. Also, I wouldn't say the Islamic golden age was ended due to fanatics, (depends on what you mean fanatic) many theologians and s contributors to Islamic jurisprudence were prevalent in tis era and used to coexist with many philosophers and people of both worlds and religious knowledge (Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Ashafi etc. ) As mentioned in the video above the Islamic golden age wasn't declining or stagnating, rather (like other Golden ages) it was halted due to political or economic inconvenience (in this case The Mongol siege of Baghdad, which crippled any further growth of the once known Islamic golden age).
@omarn76504 жыл бұрын
MDM Although I'm more in support of the late Ottoman presence in the middle East, the Hashemites should have ruled as oppose to the Saudis. Well that's what happens when you don't do what the brits tell you to do in the early 20th century. (Both sides were backed by the British btw)
@omarn76504 жыл бұрын
MDM the same countries in the third world who would abandon the mixed economic ideals would later sympathize with communism thus actually making them the 20th century version of Soviet 'imperialism'. I don't agree with either total or rigid capitalist ideals nor communism though.

@MohamedHosniEl-Menshawy4 жыл бұрын
Linguistically , yes . But in the past , they used it to designate a certain school in " philosophical " thought : that of the greek philosophy as opposed to kalam "philosophers" who were referred to as Mutakallemen whether they were mutazilites or Asharites . The application of the term " falsafa" to include kalam is modern . One has to keep this in mind when he reads kalam books as not to get confused about how Mutaklemeen criticize falsafa ( philosophy) while in the same time engage in the learning and teaching of logic and its application in intellectual thinking which would undoubtedly be called "falsafa" in our times but was just called "nazr Al aqly" النظر العقلي : "thinking via logic " in their time .

@ahzam28624 жыл бұрын
@Rayan No, it's actually opposite. Being a non Arab makes it more easy for you to become a hafidh because you have limited vocabulary and thus less chances of humbling the words. And it doesn't matter wether you know Arabic or not if you're a hafidh you have the reward. I don't know why some people just make futile attempts on Islam even if it leads to making a fool of themselves.

@Rayan The point is that they could lead the prayer. The point is that they could preserve the Qur'an unlike other religious scripture. The point is that even reciting the Qur'an is rewardable deed. The point is that some people are remarkably over smart to ask the question what's the point.

Sad to see how ignorant the Christian World is today, still exploiting, colonializing and causing wars all over again and then wondering why other regions are fucked up today. In fact nothing changed after the cruisades, only their names changed, now ıt's not officially for god, it's for freedom and democracy lol.

Indeed, the present is depressing. Chaos, terrorism, wars, poverty, etc... We will teach our new generations to become more tolerant unlike what our parents and grand parents taught us, and we will defeat ignorance. Indonesia already succeeded.
