I'm loving this series, it skips the boring stuff and gets right into the beauty of chess.

your sacrifices videos are fantastic! Maybe a serie about spectacular endings would be instructive too.

Naiditsch is a very aggressive player. Like Jobova this year he swept through the B section of the Tata Steel tournament in spectacular fashion. For amateurs it should not really matter if they watch the very best players or just some random super grandmasters anyway:-)

I love Spiealmann. Such a great player. Favourite system as black against the london. ( d4 nf6 bf4 c5 d3 cxd4)

1) Thanks for your videos i like them very much (sorry for my bad english/spelling from now on , i m from Greece so my apologies) 2) I want to analyze a little more the second position of the video. At 9:15 my first thought is Bh7+ which seems really good. a) If King takes the bishop then g6 and black loses the queen. After that a reasonable continuation seems to be Ne5 , Rd8 etc. and white is way better (with 2 exchanges up and the queen). b) If Kf8 then Be6 loses the queen again. White is singificantly better in material. 3) In your analysis which is stronger than what i saw in the first place, black has at 10:02 Qg5 instead of Kf8. This gives back the queen to save the king from being checkmated with Rg8...after this we take the queen and after Kf8 , Bd6 we promote the pawn. Black doesnt lose immediately but white is up a queen so.. Its really interesting position generally. If y have time check this Bh7+ move, not THAT strong but still beautiful i think ...thanks again.
kingscrusher I think that y analyze a different position. I say Bh7+ AFTER black has played Nd7 as it is in 9:15 of the video and not before. Otherwise it accomplishes nothing. Thanks anyway for your time. :D

At 10:30 after h7 and Qh4, white can play Bd6+ if Queen blockes the queening mate, and if Ke8 then Rg8, then Knf8 then queening and white is sagnifcant material up.
@postmasterpez10 жыл бұрын
Oh it´s not material up, but a think it is a decent continuation.

#10 would technically be considered a sham sacrifice as opposed to a real sacrifice. Note: sham sacrifices result in quick mates OR in piece exchanges which take out key players for the other guy.

Why do you never check the game with an engine before recording a video?

Watch all KC's video's, then come back to us with an informed remark.

Attlanttizz I have watched a ton of them, I'm not going to watch all KC's videos just to answer that, instead you could have told me.

"+Game per frame"- I did check most of these positions in advance with engine checking as I do on most videos (excluding of course live commentary games!) . I also like to have the engine on during videos for other exploratary analysis. If you think there are some issues, or you had some issue with the video, please can you be more specific, and elaborate the actual issue. The videos in this series so far seem to be well liked.

Taking the audience through the game as it is unfolding is more valuable, as we can share in the thought processes of kingscrusher as he re-visits the games. I find the remarks valuable as he re-enters the mindset of playing through it "live" very helpful.
