The reason for the colorful explosions when the implants are set off is due to Samuel Jackson's character not being able to stomach seeing blood. This allows him to see it happen without throwing up.

He was the fastest unassisted human being ever (as in he only used gravity to accelerate him). He jumped from the height of 39 kilometers and attained a final top speed of Mach 1.25. In a special jump suit with air support. So within the already ridiculous premises of this movie that jump was actually the most scientifically valid one. 😁😁

That applies to pressure buildup underneath the falling body, compressing the existing atmosphere which makes further acceleration impossible. But the higher the altitude the lower the atmospheric pressure, thus the increase of the actual speed. I should have stated the actual speed instead of using Mach numbers as Mach usually pertains to trans-sonic speeds. Achieving trans-sonic speeds with a human shaped body without assistance is not possible (AND survive, at least 😂). As such my description of Mach 1.25 was scientifically speaking not correct, but when translated to ground speed, yes, it would have been accurate.

Hey Simone, Felix Baumgartner did a free-fall jump from the edge of space in 2012 just like you saw in the movie and was just fine. He set the world record for the highest jump at 128,000 feet. It's on KZbin. You should have a look if you're interested in how it was done and what his experience was like. I think Red Bull sponsored the event. Also, this was arguably the best of the Kingsman movies. I actually liked the 2nd one as well. But the last one, The Kings Man, just flopped really badly for me. It didn't have the same feel as the first two and almost felt like someone else was trying too hard to make that kind of movie, but missed the target by a mile. Not sure what happened there, but those are my two cents.

I loved this movie for being excactly what all the other "modern" spy movies failed to deliver. This is more classic Bond than any out of the 007 franchise of the last two decades managed to be. So good to see you enjoy it, grats to your choice, even the least well done Kingsman flic is still superior entertainment compared to the competition these days. Of the three, only Kittinger had a bona fide reason for doing it. He was an Air Force Captain testing high altitude bailouts for the upcoming generation of military aircraft like the SR-71.

At that altitude terminal velocity is somewhat higher. Terminal velocity also depends on how you position yourself in the air. In the lower atmosphere it goes from around 200 kmh/120 mph when "floating" horizontally, to around 320 kmh/200 mph when diving vertically with your arms at your side. She fell from a height that is probably comparable to Felix Baumgartner's record jump in 2012, and he reached a velocity of about 1358 kmh/840 mph. Essentially, you would accelerate up to a point, and then slowly decelerate as you descended further into denser air.

The movies are all great so would recommend. The King's Man (the prequel) is my personal favourite- it's really zany and silly, but surprisingly hits the feels too. It's about the founder of Kingsman and the villain is Rasputin, who is outrageously portrayed! The trailer doesn't give much away but will give you a good impression.

1, The "Dog test" was apparently a NKVD training protocol (although it’s hard to be sure if it really happened due most of the records disappearing when the NKVD became the NKGB), to show they would when ordered kill even something they had learnt to love: Because there is *nothing* that Stalin can't make just a little bit worse. It appears a lot in fiction, including the Unsullied in the 'Song of Ice and Fire' books, and it’s rumoured that some Russian and Latin American special forces used it in the 90’s, but that’s probably untrue. 2, That private metro exits: it’s the old UK Royal Mail rail-system, with their own mini-trains under London separate from the underground, built to avoid traffic. It’s now mostly dis-used. 3, Apparently it got to the point that Colin Firth had rehersed that Church fight-scene so often, he could have done it live if needed, so long as no one actually slammed him into a wall.

Simone, there's a thing called 'terminal velocity'. It means that no matter the hieght you fall from, your body will accelerate only up to a certain point, then maintains that speed of descent until 'landing'/impact. i forget what the actual speed is, but I think it's around 220 miles per hour or 352 kph. Fast enough to cause problems at the destination, but not fast enough to cause tissue trauma on its own.

A good little touch in the film: during the Church fight at 29:34, the explosion temporarily deafens Galahad (the high pitched tone we hear) and thus he starts to come to his senses, you can see it on his face. Then his hearing returns and Valentine's sound sets him off again.

I used to work in a store and I've encountered customers that get a kick out of mocking retail staff, the trick is to know where the store cameras are and to ensure that no one else is within range when you calmly verbally abuse them back whilst maintaining the illusion of utmost professionalism.

And the third one is slightly more serious but *really* good with some phenomenal fight scenes - one in particular really gives some meaning to the phrase “fight choreography”. Oh, and Taron Egerton is really good in Rocketman, the Elton John biopic.

The Golden Circle is definitely worth watching. I like it just as much as the first Kingsman movie. I didn't like The King's Man as much as the first two, but it is still worth watching.

Strongly disagree. The Golden Circle is kinda terrible. Some decent action scenes, but a terrible lack of story. The King's Man was decent in my opinion. Not fantastic, but competent.

The theme I love the most is Eggsy’s loyalty He takes the heat for his friends after stealing whatshisname’s car He urges Harry to leave the pub, not wanting to put him in danger, and prepares to take his licks like a man He doesn’t tell Dean (his step dad) who Harry is, despite Dean threatening to kill him He encourages Roxy to skydive, then calms everyone down when they start to panic. Eggsy doesn’t like everyone there, but they’re still his teammates and he doesn’t want anyone to die He doesn’t blab about Kingsman when he thinks he’s about to die He refuses to shoot JB (his dog) He picks Harry’s umbrella as his main weapon, then emulates Harry’s mannerisms at the end of the movie, bringing things full circle Like Harry said, Eggsy’s a loyal young man with loads of potential. Love this movie!

"Free falling from that height" - after a certain height, free-falling doesn't add any velocity. There reaches a point where the wind resistance from the speed you are falling cancels out acceleration due to gravity. It's called "terminal velocity" - not because you'll go splat, but because that's as fast as you can go.

"The free fall issue" As mentioned before, Felix Baumgatner managed to jump almost from 40km in a free fall without much issues. As for the original idea, when a body would "quit" (in the sense of "pass out"), that comes down to two important elements: fear and equipment. In general, we human beings don't like very risky situations; if we are not used to the exprience our just "shuts down"; that doesn't have a set time to happen; the moment the person goes beyond its personal limit, the body says "bye" (that's why trained skydivers or people more tolerant to stress saty awake in free falls). The equipment bit is because above 10,000 ft. the body needs more oxygen to work properly; above that height it doesn't matter if you are tolerant to stress or trained; you'll pass out after some seconds (due to low oxygen levels in your blodd, not fear) and you will have some brain damage after a couple of minutes. "The dog test" The film makes several points that are not easy to swallow (along with the "seducing scene"). The truth is that while we all live in a cvilized society that rejects some behaviors (like shooting a dog), in the battlefield we would expect agents that don't have such moral imperatives (we want people capable of doing things a "civilized person" wouldn't dare... so we can later judge them). We can argue that the test is outdated (as Harry mentions, times have changed and the spy game has changed too) and we have other ways to test compromise to duty rather than shooting an animal... but yeah, the field won't be always as clean cut as that. "The sequels/prequels" Though choice XD. Kingsman is generally rated as "great", so it was just natural any sequel had a very high standard to beat. While the original team has indicated they imagined the story as a trilogy; it should be noted that the comic Kingsman is based on only has one chapter and the film and the source material only share key plot elements (meaning that, for any extra film project there is very little source material to get inspiration from). Kingsman The Golden Circle kind of completes the story of Eggsy (you may judge if it lives up to the first film, or if both films should even be compared). And that would be it. So many twists and turns are what makes this movie a sit on the edge of your seat film. The free-fall that 'Lancelot' did is what is called a HALO jump. High Altitude Low Open jump. They have to use pressurized suits with their own air supply.

Jezelle is played by Sophia Bouttella who also played Princess Ahmonett and in full mummy makeup in The Mummy,Jayla the alien girl (in full makeup with stunts and fight scenes)in Star Trek Beyond, she's a dancer, gymnast, actress and stuntwoman and has done all of the stunts and moves in these movies. In this movie she had to train to use artificial legs designed for sprinting for amputee athletes. They are basically a large spring and were modified and CG'd with the blades. In The Mummy she also did the creepy crawl on all 4's that you probably remember, not hard for her due to her athletic and dance background.

About freefall. Skydivers have jumped out of helium balloons from massive heights since the sixties. The most famous recent example was Felix Baumgartner who in 2012 jumped from 39 km (24mi) and hit speeds over Mach 1 (1350 kph / 840 mph) on his way down. The only real issue with forces on his body was due to an an uncontrolled spin. There wasn’t enough air resistance at the higher altitudes to control himself. He regained control at lower altitudes.

Terminal Velocity for a human is about 120 mph/200 km/h to 300 mph/480 km/h depending on how your are positioned and what you are wearing. All survivable speeds assuming you have a parachute. Falling speed does not kill unless you hit something like the ground or a bird or something.

Golden Circle is fun. Not as good as the first. But "not as good" does not mean bad (except on the internet). I think it gets some hate due to the appearance of one particular character. The third is better than the second, but the first is still better. Seeing you react to Firefly might be worth joining your Patreon. However, are these presented in the same format as your KZbin videos or are they full length watch-alongs where I have to provide my own copy? Because the latter is too much of pain to deal with. I prefer the KZbin format.

Any else try to hold their breath during underwater scenes or is just me? Also the highest skydive was from over 135000 feet/41 kilometers/25 miles high (the edge of space is 330k feet) and the skydiver went over 800 mph. It's insane. Finally the first Kingsman was by far the best imo.

I always forget that the dog test uses blanks. For some reason, I always remember those who pass as shooting the dog for a minor wound. After all, shooting and killing can be two different things when done right.

Provided they wear a pressure suit to allow breathing, a person can absolutely survive reentry into the atmosphere. Look up the video for Felix Bumgartner's nearly 25 mile freefall jump. A human body can't build up anywhere even close to the velocity needed to cause reentry burn and reaches terminal velocity (the point where a falling object reaches its maximum drop speed) very quickly. Felix's jump took him nearly ten minutes and the only time he was in any real danger was when his body entered a flat spin shortly before he was to open his parachute.

Actually terminal velocity is based on air density, so from 120,000+ feet you end up breaking the sound barrier and slow down as you get into denser air. And no it is sudden acceleration that is hard on the body, not velocity in near vacuum. In denser air yes velocity sucks, but terminal velocity is bearable, especially in a pressure suit like Roxy wears.

In 2014, 57 year old Alan Eustace made a freefall jump, from a gas balloon. The height was 135,889 feet. Due to the fact that there is no air at that altitude, to slow his decent, his top speed of fall was 822 MPH, the speed of sound is 767 MPH. He landed safely.

Not going to spoil Golden Circle in case they watch it, but even that film reiterates the importance of the mission coming first and "no room for emotions."
