Something ya’ll should keep in mind, the Jedi are first and foremost a religious organization. They have a sort of exhibit called The 20 Masters, which is 20 busts of jedi who left the order as Masters, which is very rare compared to leaving as a knight or padawan. Dooku’s actually part of the 20. Jocasta isn’t a retired Jedi, she’s just not a field Jedi anymore. Also part of the tragedy of the clone wars is the fact that Jedi literally aren’t meant for war, they’re all natural empaths. Putting people who feel the emotions of those around them on the front lines of a galactic war is a significantly bad idea, and exactly why palpatine conscripted them. Also something to remember, I really hope ya’ll see this: Love is not Attachment. George Lucas himself is quoted multiple times explaining that attachment is possession, fear, greed, and a general refusal to accept that life is about change and you don’t always get what you want. Attachment is Anakin refusing to just leave the Jedi to be with Padme because he wants the prestige of being a Jedi, attachment is leaving his padawan and troopers vulnerable to grievous to go save his droid(as much as I love R2), attachment is compromising the safety of thousands of force sensitive children across the galaxy to save his padawan(which didn’t even work), attachment is anakin fucking over *the entire galaxy* just on the promise that palpatine can save padme, attachment is anakin choking out his pregnant wife cause the only thing that matters is that *he* loves *her* and she has to be with him and if she’s not with him she must be working *against* him so he hurts her. It sounds like Im shitting on anakin here but fact of the matter is his attachments and selfishness did lead to his fall and the suffering of billions across the galaxy. Also the Jedi and the Sith are 2 different religions. The Sith follow the Dark Side of the force which focuses on pain, fear, grief, greed, suffering, to grow your own power at any expense. The Jedi follow the Light Side of the force, which focuses on peace, compassion, kindness, justice, to follow the will of the force and help those who can’t help themselves. Sith can’t open Jedi holocrons and Jedi cant’t open Sith holocrons because the emotions they use to open them are completely opposite of each other.

This is an excellent explanation of the Jedi Order and their status during this time period, the only thing i will add is that the Jedi order during the clone wars, and even before them, is not what the Jedi Order is supposed to be, the war really changed how they work and peoples opinion of them, but even before then they had been manipulated into a corrupted version of themselve by internal manipulations and political pressure. As mentioned above the Attachment they warn themselves against does not inherently include Love, and teaching to actively suppress their feelings rather than acknowleding them and and learning to feel them without letting them influence their actions and cloud their judgement is what ultimately lead to cases like Anakin, Dooku, and a few others who i believe are spoilers at the moment according to how much star wars content they have seen, as well as cases where a jedi is vulnerable to their relationships, like Obi-wan and Satine, or a large percentage of Masters and Padawans.

Just an addendum: the Jedi don't actually follow the light side of the Force, they follow the Force itself and its will. Because the Force IS Light, while the Dark Side is the corruption of the Force, it makes it suffer, forces it to do what it doesn't want to.

Couple of corrections: 1) Darth Bane was not one of the first Sith; rather, he was the one who instituted the Rule of Two. Under this doctrine, Darth Bane annihilated the previous Sith order and passed on his teachings to an apprentice. The reasoning behind his Rule of Two doctrine was that in the past, often powerful Sith Lords would arouse the jealousy of their lessers, who would band together to betray said Lords, but in doing so weaken the Sith as a whole. Under the Rule of Two, there would only be one master and one apprentice, so if the apprentice wanted to overthrow their master and become the next Sith Lord, they would have to truly best their master instead of relying on cheap tactics. Bane's idea was that each Sith Lord would be stronger than the last because of this. 2) Vader's suit was for life support more than anything else. It wasn't that Palpatine crippled him, per say, it was that Vader was already crippled from his injuries and the limitations of the suit that kept him alive. You have to remember as well that both Vader's hands were robotic.

If it gets stolen and used to kill someone because you stored it wrong you are basically treated as an accomplice (not exactlly but at least similar). But even when you stored it right the gun is your responsibility and you will still get punished. Grievous's backstory isn't in any of the movies or shows, but if I recall correctly, he was a warlord from a planet with a more tribal society. He did have a wife who was an even more formidable fighter than he was, but she died in a raid while he wasn't there. He went dark and bitter over the loss, then Dooku arranged an 'accident' where he was critically injured and given his cyborg body. Dooku claimed credit for saving him and told him the Jedi were responsible for his injury, then trained him in lightsaber combat.
@Gojirawars035 күн бұрын
That’s his Legends backstory. In canon, he fought against the Jedi on Kalee, and grew to admire their abilities. He wanted to obtain their level of power, but wasn’t force sensitive. Harboring hatred for the Jedi over the way they treated his people during the war, and with no where else to turn, Dooku offered him a chance to get revenge. Grievous continually sought to gradually upgrade and improve his physical abilities by means of Cybernetics. Until eventually, he was barely organic at all anymore, replacing the majority of his body with mechanical parts to transform himself into a perfect Jedi-killing machine. (I think the whole reason his backstory was changed was because George felt the Legends story made him too similar to Vader).

Darksaber Info: The Darksaber was an ancient and unique black-bladed lightsaber created by Tarre Vizsla, the first and only known Mandalorian ever inducted into the Jedi Order, around 1050 Years before EP 4: A New Hope. The weapon was kept in the Jedi Temple after Vizsla's passing, but members of House Vizsla stole the saber in a conflict with the Jedi during the fall of the Old Republic. The Darksaber was passed down, generation to generation, by the ancestors of Pre Vizsla, who held onto the weapon even after the pacifist ideals of the New Mandalorians replaced the warrior ways of Mandalore. Over the years the lightsaber has claimed the lives of many jedi in conflicts between the warrior Mandalorian factions. True Mandalorian warriors also wore Beskar armour which is lightsaber resistant, being able to survive multiple strikes without damage and only prolonged continuous contact being able to melt the metal (depending on purity) This combined with their innate fighting abilities, myriad of weapons, and with the darksaber made Mandalorians very hard to kill, even for trained jedi.

Regarding Darth Bane, he was the sith that implemented the rule of two. Previously, there had been hundreds or thousands of sith in the galaxy. Darth Bane thought that this made the sith weaker as a whole and that only the most powerful sith should survive. This was not a super uncommon theme in the sith since every sith apprentice would either kill their master or be killed by them at some point. Only the strong survive type deal. Anyway, Darth Bane said that there should only be 2 sith, a master and an apprentice. Every since him the sith have only had 2 members with some exceptions.

3:16:00 Technically, Force sensitive clones are possible. Though it only happened in "Legends," the one that comes to mind is Palestine. In the games, it was Starkiller, though he was considered non Canon, given OP nature.

Season 2 has some pretty cool arcs the Rise of the Bounty Hunters has the Holocron Heist, the horrific Return to Geonosis arc, the Zillo Beast arc, we even get some interesting Senator episodes thrown in, then we have my personal favorite parts the Mandalorian Uprising arc and the Boba Fett revenge arc also fun fact the dent on Boba Fett's helmet happened in a duel with Cad Bane.

1:38:16 Vader's suit was pretty much made to be weak to lightning so palps can kill his ass if he goes rogue and yeah pretty much why vader doesn't do lightning. But also Darth bane was also responsible for the rule of two, basically in a nutshell he thought there was too many sith so he and his apprentice decided to kill every sith

Clone wars is very specifically meant to replicate those old wartime propgoabda movies in whcih they always opened up with an old timey narrator explaining the battle to that point, which is why it's like that

There IS a lightsaber shield. During the High Republic era (about 400 years before the Clone Wars), there was a Jedi named Silandra Sho who did a did a sort of Captain America thing and primarily used a shield as a weapon. She also had a normal lightsaber, and sometimes used it in conjuction with the shield.

I think Boba was like consumed by revenge, but he wants to take revenge on mace window because mace when do killed his father Jango Fett remember when he sliced his head off and even after he gets swallowed by the store, like pin, like return of the Jedi, the Boba Fett series takes place after that, so he survives

Theres Padawans, Jedi knights, Jedi Masters. Then there those in the Jedi Council who happen to be Jedi Masters and of course Grand Master Yoda. Thats all you need know. Aside the rare acceptions of people being on the council and not granted rank of master like Anakin in revenge of the sith

Apparently, Darth Vader’s light saber is unique because you can adjust the length of it but I think you can do that on most light sabers if not all of them and it’s never been done on the screen
@patrickkarran20604 күн бұрын
3:04:12 The Dark Saber is an ancient Mandalorian weapon. Whoever wields the saber can rule all of Mandalore and lead all the Mandalorians. The only way to retrieve it is to win it in battle against the one who possess it.
@chainsofenkidu20573 күн бұрын
Correction: the only way it counts as a means of RULING is if the one who holds it challenged and defeats the previous holder, or the previous holder declares the new holder as more worthy than them. And even then, it HAS to be through combat the wielder proves they be "worthy" of the saber.

In Star Wars the Old Republic, they have a Flashpoint mission based around the Rakghoul Plague. Anyone attacked by a Rakghoul basically becomes a zombie. And you fight through waves of then while standing in a small lit circle in a nearly pitch black tunnel. There is also womprat fever which is another form of minor zombification. On the matter of Darth Bane. He was the sith who created the "rule of two" where they would be no more than 2 sith lords at any given time. Because the sith were so destructive that they nearly wiped themselves out due to fights over power.

The Emperor has been trying to work out how to cheat death for so long so cloning the Zilo beast is the first step. which will slowly start to explain over time even throughout the Mandalorian show as to how he "survived" by the end of Return of the jedi and into the Rise Of Skywalker.
