Thanks for the question, I am not sure I can answer intelligently on what the cone shape rubber washers and nuts are for and would suggest contacting Kingston Brass directly. I have used their customer support services in the past and have been pleased with their responsiveness. As far as the faucet drip, you can try isolating which valve body is leaking by shutting off each shut-off valve individually, hot, then cold to see if you can make it stop leaking. Once you determine which valve is the culprit you can talk to the manufacturer for a replacement. They are pretty good about backing their product. Hope this helps.

How did you secure the handles, you show it in fast motion but never mention it. If this is labeled as "instalation"and not a review please focus on talking about what you are doing for instalation and not your personal feelings about the product...

Sorry, I sped up a critical installation point for you. The hot and cold handles have a set screw on the side of the handle where you use a small allen key to tighten down to the valve body. I have other Kingston Brass handles where the hold down screw is hidden underneath the hot and cold emblems on top of the handle. You have to pop the hot and cold caps off the top to access the screw. Hope this helps.
