Thanks man! Appreciate it! I’ve played the duelist and should have a video on it soon as well but I think the blues power sounds a lot more rough than the heavy hand side, not so compressed!

Great playing dude! I am in doubt about getting the duellist or the blues power. I want to play some srv but I am a marshall jubilee and a Les Paul owner hahaha. I was wondering if the duellist could be always turned on when playing clean from the amp or it would be a little tiring for the ears. But on the other hand, I’d like something versatile. What do you recommend, blues power or the duellist?
@tastee_licks_thomas2 жыл бұрын
Hey man thanks! Because the duellist is a bluesbreaker/ Ts pedal having it on all the time in my personal opinion wouldn’t really work super well with what your rig is, if you want more of that srv type tone I think you’d be better off with a blues power. I bought a blues power after tossing up for ages between them, and then decided I’d get the duellist and compare then sell one of them, but then I couldn’t sell either! It also works well as a nice boost for other tones as well!
@Jaques3552 жыл бұрын
@@tastee_licks_thomas thank you very much! I will follow your advice and buy the blues power. Maybe I’ll be able to make my Marshall more fender-ish hahaha
@tastee_licks_thomas2 жыл бұрын
@@Jaques355 well the blues power is pretty much a blackface preamp ( or can be used like one). If you get one and your amp has a fx loop try plugging it straight into the return, you’ll get much closer to a fender tone ! You won’t be disappointed with it!!

Mate, what do you think of that bonsai? I have been so close to pull the plug a few times but somewhat I always get cold feet, as I think that there are better options such as the duellists or similar ones...
@tastee_licks_thomas3 жыл бұрын
I think the bonsai gets it done, however I have struggled to make it work in my rig. I also have a duellist and I believe the duellist is a better ts than what the bonsai offers. I may do a review of both on this channel if that is something you’d be interested in!

You’re too good to have all the 60 cycle hum going on. You should switch to noiseless pickups or something; the newest ones are amazing and don’t kill the tone like the old ones used to.
@tastee_licks_thomas2 жыл бұрын
I’ll have to give it a look dude! 60 cycle hum is like background noise for me at this point!

Sounds awesome but Kingtone pedals are just ridiculously priced. Not saying you shouldn’t pay for quality, but when a dirt pedal approaches the price of a medium class tube amp something could be argued to be a bit out of balance …
