[KINI EXPLAINER] Why is Anwar 'hunting' Daim? Is Dr M the next target?

After Anwar Ibrahim took office as the prime minister, the MACC began an investigation into corporate figures Daim Zainuddin and Halim Saad. In December last year, the agency also seized Menara Ilham, belonging to the Daim's family.
Why is Anwar 'hunting' Daim? Was there a controversial business transaction involving the former finance minister? Why is Daim considered a confidant of Dr. Mahathir Mohamad? And why did the MACC take such significant action to investigate Daim after more than 20 years since he left the government?

Daim was the finance minister during the Mahatair years. A lot of lucrative licenses was doled out . As finance minister, he should NOT receive the licenses personally or through proxies. Is there a time limit to corruption or abuse of power ? Daim is different than say Azman Hashim. Azman got the Ambank and as the share price goes up , he is wealthier. Straight forward.
