***** It's not always about how "hard" something is. That seemed like an AWESOME wall-ride, the guys where having fun and just wanted to give him a pat! Bmx is 90% mental 10% physical (random numbers) his pegs could have gotten caught, he would've been launched into the water, etc. etc. It's awesome riding nonetheless!

They're called pegs. Most riders have a dominant side where they feel more comfortable grinding on. So I guess to save weight they just leave the pegs off the side that they don't really grind on. At least that's why I only run pegs on one side. I can't grind for shit on my right side. Surely I could practice and be able to grind on both sides but I'm fine with running pegs on just on the left side.
