I think with some hair care products, Ryan’s perm will definitely look a lot better since his hair rn is still a bit dry. So far I’m absolutely loving this look on Ryan since he looks like a combination of a cute little teddy bear while also giving that bad boy vibe.

Hairdresser here, you’re lucky your hair didn’t break off. Perming on hair that’s been bleached AND box dyed is dangerous. Try olapex treatment, use conditioner every time you wash it and a leave-in treatment afterwards (serum /cream form is better than spray form). When you style you can mix the leave-in treatment with curling cream. Good luck 👍

Boosting comment to save a life. I also suggest olaplex or another product with bond builders. Personally I like to use a hair oil after showering. Argon oil is my first choice usually. Leave in conditioners also help minimize the appearance of damage

Oh, and blow drying will make it fluffier. Letting it air dry will help the curls keep their shape. (I have naturally curly hair, and know from experience that blow-drying curly hair is asking for trouble)

Remember if you want the perm to last then you can't wash your hair 24 - 48 hours after your perm. It'll wash out the chemicals. ( I've never had a perm but I remember hearing this before and I looked it up to be sure )

Try Olaplex !!! If not All you need is the proper styling gel, mouse , or hydrating sheen mist and you’ll be golden . It looks good but that’ll give it moisture back ✨ & deep condition . Those chemicals are intense .

This video killed me. You shouldn't perm bleached hair, hence the frizziness at the ends, you shouldn't be so rough with the hair after it's been freshly permed because it ruins the curl pattern that was just put in, the curlers were not tight enough. And you CANNOT get a perm wet for at least 48 hours after getting it done... Considering all that it still turned out okay, just do lots of treatments and deep condition the ends of your hair to help the ramen noodle effect you got going on

Curly hair, when wet, is LESS curly than when dry. Also, the hairdresser obviously gave you a blow out to artificially make your hair less curly, but it will obviously bounce back the moment you come near any kind of humidity. What the hairdresser was doing is giving you a haircut and perm that will require you to do a blow out every day so you don't look like Curly Sue. The fact that the hairdresser didn't tell you right from the start that you hair is already too short to get the result on the picture should have been a red flag. You really need to research hairdressing techniques before getting something as permanent and damaging done to your hair. The vast majority of hairdressers either don't know what they are doing, or don't master the technique, or don't care about the result because they get paid before you have slept on your new cut and waves and realize that you didn't get what you paid for. For example, given that I have fine hair, if I go get a cut and first the hairdresser wants to wash my hair, I cancel right then and there because I know that you can't cut fine hair when wet and expect to get the result you wanted. If just a really simple cut like that with slight waves requires any hairspray (and that there is A LOT of hairspray), that means the hairdresser knows he screwed up. If they have to comb your hair that precisely and carefully and then use that much hairspray, that is the indication that you will have to do all of that to your hair every day for it to look right, AND you better not move your head and not touch your hair all day or it falls apart. Also, when you get both a perm and a cut, they are supposed to do the perm first, not only because that's the proper way but also because the shorter your hair the harder it is to roll it properly. If some of your hair fell out of the rollers while waiting for the perm to set, that's why. I like how you look after, so it's not like it's a bad style. But you obviously didn't get what you wanted, and that's because that hairdresser is not competent. Don't go back there.
