11:30 Only the section from Hanau Hbf to Offenbach Ost (S8 + S9) is playable. There's a downtown tunnel (Offenbach City Tunnel) between Offenbach Ost and OF-Kaiserlei, where only S-Bahn services run. After OF-Kaiserlei, the S-Bahn joins the main line again and ascends from the underground only to descend again right before F-Mühlberg. There’s no switch between the main line and the S-Bahn line on this section either. Mühlberg is the starting point of the Frankfurt City Tunnel for lines S1, S2, S8, and S9, whereas it is Lokalbahnhof for lines S3, S4, S5, and S6. All lines meet approximately where the river Main is and run together to Frankfurt Hbf, where services are split off again. The S7 is the only line in the network that doesn’t utilize the tunnel at all. The S8 airport shuttle services depart from the main hall as well rather than from the underground S-Bahn station, same goes for trains of other services that either broke down and terminated earlier or have to terminate at the main station because the tunnel is closed. This happened in 2018. During the Summer break, line S1 departed from the main hall of Frankfurt Hbf and used the main line until Offenbach Ost via Offenbach Hbf. AI S-Bahn services run the short section from F-Stresemannallee to Frankfurt Süd. One more thing: The BR423 rarely shows up on lines S1, S7, S8, S9. Those services pretty much use the BR430 exclusively, although line S7 and the S8 shuttle services use refurbished BR425s nowadays. Lines S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6 use the BR 423 exclusively. The reason is that there are two separate bids with different terms.

Local to the route here. You've forgotten to look at this from the Fulda perspective ;-) RB services from Frankfurt end in Wächtersbach but there are RB services that come from Fulda and end in Wächtersbach too. As for the S8 and S9, they'd only last 4 station from Offenbach Ost to Hanau Hbf.
