Good video, well done. Only thing I would add is to write on the filter(s) engine hour and date with a paint pen.

Ready for my 200 hr . Tks for the video for a refresher. Hats off you your dealer! I had a year and a half of absolute hell with Manchester Motors in Manchseter Maine and their Topsham Maine location. Totally abussive toxic dealer operation model. Wish I took your dealer advice 2 years ago.

Nice video. The one thing I didnt see was where did you fill the hydraulic fluid? I have the 2620 so it should be the same? TIA.

The engine oil plugs use a crush washer you might want to replace - they’re only 10c at Napa Forgot about that side fill last time I changed mine! Thanks.

I am getting better at it as I get older. We need to take care of our stuff. I like to do my own maintenance if I can. I get to spend quality time with my equipment, and that is when you normally find other things before they become big issues!

Service maintenance is very important. Most people neglect their equipment service intervals. Then they want to bitch when things wear out prematurely, when it's their own fault to begin with. Thanks for sharing my friend. Your friend Bryan

Hand tight is fine on all these filters, the filter wrench should really only be used for removing them (if you don't have a filter wrench you can punch a screwdriver through the filter for leverage FYI)

I have the same tractor and have had a problem with the fuel system since new. It'll run fine and then just bogs down and dies. I noticed recently, that when this happens the primer pump gets sucked down toward the filter. I've tried opening the bleeder valve and pumping to purge air from the system but I am never able to pump it enough to get fuel to come out the bleeder valve. It seems like it's somehow getting and holding air in the system and I can't figure out how.

Hi there, ist the hydraulic filter and the HST filter the Same on this tractor? You had 2 hydraulic Filters at the beginning of the Video....my manual tells me they are different. I bought both and now it turns out my new hydraulic filter doesn't fit...weird

Good Video, but you might want to check the Specs on that hydraulic oil. Traveller ISO46 specifically states that "This product is not recommended for transmission, differentials, wet brakes or final drive gears". Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic is what meets Kioti spec.

Great video, very helpful. One thing that got me was the drain pan I used. It is the kind with two inlet holes and a vent. As fast as the fluid comes out, those two holes do not let the fluid into the tank fast enough, and trying to put the plug back in really fast is easier said than done. We have a CK 2610 gear model and it has been a great tool.

Nice video. Seems to me the filters raise their own reason to invest in a small pressure washer, to clean before disassembly. Is there a torque spec for the drain plugs?

"Half a grunt" is exactly what I would use. I have never seen even the most careful tech put a dial indicator on a drain plug.
@MrJohnislost
@MrJohnislost 4 жыл бұрын
Well done. Green Acres Theme song is giving away your age!!! The Highly Technical Term used - "half a grunt" is that slightly more than "a umph"? A greasing question if I may, since you grease it all the time - When greasing the two front axle pivot zerks do you get much, if any, grease to go in? Two observation. It could be from the camera angle, but it looks like the hydraulic hoses under the right side step are hanging a bit low and could snag something. When to went in high gear and hit the brake, after some speed, your tractor made a familiar hydraulic sound as mine (I'll call it a hissing sound) My HST pedals are sticking some when I let off and have yet to figure out why. Hit the opposite pedal or the brake pedal and that noticeable sound is there. Any problems with your HST pedals sticking? And now - "Good-Bye City Life, Green Acres We Are There!

I get some grease to go in, not a lot. The hoses slide back through the zip tie a lot. I have to push them back through often. I notice the pedals sticking until the tractor really warms up. All in all, it has been a great tractor. Thanks for stopping by!

In defense of the video's author, there is no specified value for the drain plugs that I can find in the owner's manual or the factory service manual OTHER than the standard bolt diameter/torque table. The bolt diameter on the rear would definitely strip the threads if this table were used. I intend on using 28- 35 foot pounds given what my other vehicles specify for such drain plugs. I only have 49 hours on same model, the collective wisdom appears to be to use the front end loader to lift the front axle off the ground allowing movement of the front axle while greasing. Mine only took 2 pumps each side and even that was difficult. Some say the seals will loosen with time making this process easier, I have no clue if that's the case.

Nice video! It's nice to actually see somebody go through the steps. Did the front axle seal leaks result from that time it got partially buried? I had someone else tell me that his front axle seals began leaking right after getting stuck in the mud. I noticed the loader zircs look fairly dry -- the manual for mine says to grease them every 10 hours. It is recommended that you remove any metal rings or watchbands when working on anything that has a powerful battery in it (really any mechanical or machinery work too). If you reach your hand in where the starter or alternator is & your ring contacts both ground & positive -- it will only take about a second to turn red hot -- and it would definitely ruin the ring.

Thanks for this informative video. I need to do this to mine. I do have some questions. Where do you get your filters and which ones do I need as I have the same tractor. What kind of hydraulic fluid do you use and how much do you use? Thanks
@AmericanAdventuresTJ
@AmericanAdventuresTJ 4 жыл бұрын
I bought the filters from the dealer. Oil, both hydraulic filters and fuel. For oil I used the 5 gallon bucket of traveler universal tractor fluid from Tractor Supply. The rear end/transmission pretty much takes the whole 5 gallons. Not sure what the front axle takes as the dealer had just done that when they replaced the seals.

Kioti has terrible documentation in general and shows the incorrect location of the transmission drain plug in the owners manual for this model. Owners Manual page 7-4 says the transmission takes 5.81 gallons. Kioti Factory Service Manual page 6-2 states 5.28 gallons. I used the owner's manual listed Mobilfluid 424 transmission fluid in the transmission. The owner's manual says the mark on the dipstick is the 'Upper Limit' mark, there is no lower limit mark.
@Toukow
@Toukow 4 жыл бұрын
Forgot to add the front axle capacity. Owner's manual page 7-8 (I incorrectly said page 7-4 above) 1.58 gallons, factory service manual states page 9-2 capacity is 1.32 gallons. Both state 90W gear oil or you can use transmission fluid. I used 80W-90 gear oil on mine. Lots of debate about which to use, but I don't know how you beat using gear oil in a gear box vs. a fluid that must work as hydraulic fluid, work with wet brakes, etc. Your call.

You shouldn't be using tractor supply hydraulic fluid for your tractor. Use only the Kioti label hydraulic fluid. I think tractor supply did away with that brand name hydraulic fluid..

Good video but you have show people what not to do. With all that hydrolic fluid on the card board it is seeping atraight thru to the good, an environmental disaster. You should always pull a filter and wait for it to stop draining before moving the catch device to prevent the fluid fetting into the ground and repalce that filter before moving onto the next one. For someone that is a novice and never done this before or even someone experienced it potentially could be easy to get the filter reversed and replaced in the wrong position proveided they are threaded the same.
