Reminiscent of Hearts Desire with a hint of The Boss.. I absolutely love it Kip! Congratulations on your CMA award!!!!! Long time coming, but good things come to those who wait 🧡

This almost makes me cry. So many women and girls don't know their true self worth. I know the pain of it. I think social media and pop culture just exposed something that's been there for ages. We need to learn our way out of it & when something's exposed you can more easily address it. I kind of feel like it's my mission in life to learn my way out of this mess that women are in & share it. It's been a struggle, but I guess that's what I signed up for.🙂 Thank you Kip & PJ.

So some people think it's different, no matter what Kip really won't give AF what random people think. His songs grow on me more and more every time I listen. His underground songs that he only plays at concerts are absolutely amazing and he judges himself off of how his concerts do, which are always packed. Love it Kip, keep it up!!

@Kip Moore, I just found your channel today. I have heard one of your songs before and I know it and I like it. But I am cruising KZbin like I do most nights and mornings because I am drawn to music as I always have been throughout my 41-year-old lifespan! And I stumbled upon a documentary of you and your family and how you arrived at stardom to where you are today. I dug deeper and found more of your music. I am impressed how you stuck to your guns about always being you and playing your music. I understand your reasoning behind that and it makes complete sense. I hope other up-and-coming music stars take your lead and do the same. It is fine to do covers but when you really have something to say (as you do) then you need to put it down on paper and work at it and make it yours. I go even further and would like to tell you that I admire the way you write. I admire it because you are doing exactly what Reba MacIntire has done all of these years, she always told a story with her music. Even as a child I always loved that about her music. Good ole' Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert, Jelly Roll, and Carrie Underwood are just a few that I feel do the same. Telling a story with a great melody and a beautiful voice while touching others down to the core is what it is all about. Your song Backseat is a really good song. I just heard it for the first time and man oh man does it take me back to da day!! Lol!! I saw the acoustic version with one backup guitarist and you told the story of how you came up with the song and you said it was the first time that you had ever told the story!! Your backup acoustic guitarist was laughing and it was really a blast from the past that I am sure a lot of us can relate to!! Idk if you will read this but I just wanted to touch base here and let you know that I appreciate you and the wonderful music that you bring to us. I hope you continue to bless and grace us with your beautiful music and lyrics for many, many, many more years. Have a blessed career and life. -From a Brand New FAN!!

@Brittany B In the words of Eric Clapton on John Mayer (thats -er, not -or) covering Clapton's 'Magnolia': "He's extremely gifted... he is a master, I don't even think he knows how good he is". You don't play onstage with people like Buddy Guy, Leon Russell, BB King, Eric Clapton, KEITH URBAN, BRAD PAISLEY, Alicia Keys, Ed Sheeran, Double Trouble, change your sound repeatedly and consistently for every new album you put out, stay relevant in music for over a decade, and win multiple Grammys for songs that you wrote and sang, without being a talented musician. Seriously, if you think John Mayer is talent-less, you need to set aside a couple hours on Sunday afternoon, not waste your time, and watch the Where The Light Is Live in L.A. DVD. If that does not convince you that John Mayer has talent, go read a book. Preferably a dictionary. Specifically the words and phrases that follow the word talent in that book because you do not understand what it means. @Matthew Martin Totally agree, this song is super bluesy and laid back. I love this type of sound from Kip Moore and his voice fits really well with it.

I love that Kip is starting to write songs with greater substance. This is great. It would have been better with pedal steel guitar (or dobro or fiddle, etc.) to give it a more country sound.
@matthewmartin76397 жыл бұрын
I personally think a fretless bass would do it better than a dobro. Just play the octaves and slide down to the key notes. Let it drone out and create that almost wail.
@raveoreynolds60497 жыл бұрын
I disagree. It's a song about selling out, so I think the more pop sound the better, to give it that irony.(considering country musics current issue of selling out I mean)

I like Kip Moore, and he has a nice voice, I'm just not sure why everyone thinks it's such a horrible thing for people to change. The old saying, "The more people change, the more they stay the same.", comes to mind. People "change" when they have the opportunity to do so. For example: the girl in the video. She changed when she left the little town she was raised in. People can't choose where they're born, but they can choose where they will live when they're older. People, and it seems especially girls, want to leave little towns for big cities. That isn't a bad thing, that simply means they find their happiness in the hustle and bustle, rather than in the sleepy and mundane. The old adage comes to mind because it's extremely rare for someone to change overnight. Chances are, they've always been the way they turned out. Life definitely has a way of changing people and their plans, but for the most part, people don't stray far from their true selves. Change is a good thing, and it's necessary for existence.
@captainprototype755Ай бұрын
Its not about wanting to change or be better Its about changing everything about yourself to become something you are not to find happyness, its about turning your back on everyone who helped you and were by your side, beacuse you are unhappy with yourself And going to chase the love and adoration of people that will never care for who you really are, becuase you need to change to be that person, its about knowing if your not happy with what you have youll never be happy and changing yourself for people that dont care about you isnt the answer, accepting who you are and being true to yourself is what matters Its not that she left to improve herself Its that she destroyed herself, her beliefs and her realtionships to chase a fame that WILL leave her hollow. Its not for their sake, but for hers. She was already perfect, and wont accept that, but she cared too much for the opinion of those who dont care for her

I love Kip Moore, he was the one that first got me into country music. I get where he’s coming from with this song, nobody likes feeling forgotten about, but I can’t help but think “why you gotta be so judgy? Maybe she likes being blonde! It’s her lips not yours why do you care?”
