at 15:19 you can see a crack all across the PCB...right across the pins of that controller port.

I'd recommend putting wires over ALL the connections that the crack intersects, as they'll inevitably fail

Who else wanted to shout "Kip! A crack! A crack in the board! Look!". Glad you noticed it 😀 What thickness of enamelled wire do you use? On Amazon they seem to range from 0.1mm to 1.0mm.

I'm waiting on parts to start the Vmod HDMI conversion of my Mega Drive 2, I have even worked out the schematic to run the HDMI board via a parallel wire from a takeoff board inside the power supply to supply 5v DC which I will hook up to the mains input to step down the volts and rectify it. I could have upped the main power feed by 5v and take the HDMI power from that but prefer a more modular approach, if the 5v board fries a new one is pennies, a MD power brick and board are not so cheap lol

Some Master System Model 2’s came with sonic the hedgehog in Europe
