Also cool idea. Caliber shells of your liking... cut the shell alot shorter, insert a magnet thats strong and you have cool fridge magnets!! Im gona make some for me. I must just get small magnet for my 9mm shells. Or use the magnetic sheets with the adhesive paper! Oh yeah!

A shell is only used for Shotgun Shells. No such thing as a bullet shell. The brass part has 3 names. Just brass, or a brass case, or a cartridge case since not all cartridge cases are brass.

Why not remove the primer and insert LEDs? String a few dozen together and boom! Shell casing party lights. Perhaps use hot glue or clear resin shaped like bullets on the end for added effect?

Here's one for ya, collect some higher caliber casings and some shotgun shells, tie some string and add them to 2 pieces of 1'x1' of wood in a cross formation. Dangle it from a rafter and you got yourself a real purty sounding windchime

Actually in a pinch you can use a spent 9mm casing as ear plugs if you put it primer side in your ear. Ive done this at an outdoor range. Wouldnt suggest it for indoors but it does help.

I save my .22 and take them to the scrap yard when i have 5-10 thousand cases. 700 casings to a pound of brass, brass is usually around 2$ where i live. 30$ is what i get after a summer of shooting, buys my next 2500 rounds.
