Thanks lorna was a super day for our walk, we had intended to visit Rough island on the day as there is a causeway across to it at low tide but didn't realise till we got there that it was closed due to ground-nesting birds breeding. Hestan island is a likely candidate for our next visit.👍🏴

Had many great holidays in Kippford with our Labrador, sadly we lost her at the beginning of this month. Did this coastal walk, Carlingwalk Loch, Threave Castle and Gardens, Dalbeattie Forest to Colvend, Kirkcudbright River Don walk, many times. Felt like we were doing it again watching this, great video.

Nice video and a lovely walk. If you don’t want to walk along the road to Sandyhills, you have 2 options when you get to Portling. If the tide is out you can walk along the beach. If the tide is up, you can follow the coastal path over the hill and drop down to Sandyhills.
