32:20 what he says in the video is correct. Magic Cylinder needs to target the monster to reflect the damage of it's ATK points to the opponent's lifepoints. But Judai(Jaden) activated quick spell Contact Out, so Contact Out activates first. Magma Neos will be gone from the field. Then the Magic Cylinder's effect activates. Since Magma Neos isn't on the field anymore, Magic Cylinder loses it's target, thus Judai(Jaden) will take no damage.

I loved watching the subbed version awhile ago and I definitely agree on how 4kids screwed over the final season of the dub . This sort of ending is so fitting as the series opens with Jaden bumping into Yugi and it ends up going full circle with them facing off.

In my mind there are two things that determine the winner. The first? Drawing ability. Jaden has extreme luck when drawing, so much in fact that even when not dueling he tends to succeed in any random chance choice. Example the golden eggwhich. Yugi on the other hand has the Millennium Puzzle's luck boost. While the Pharoah has yet to master this ability by the time of this duel it still allows him to get cards to get him out of a sticky situation. In short they both have protagonist draw but Yugi's is supernaturally enforced. So card for card Jaden would probably brick first. This leads to the second point, heavy hitters. Each player has access to multiple negates, multiple banishers and multiple equips so the true determining factor is who has the biggest monsters. As Jaden was able to get two of his top tier monsters out and both were more or less walled by Slifer? Yugi has the advantage. However all Jaden needs is to find a way to get another elemental hero to the grave and shining flarewingman becomes strong enough to top anything besides a thoroughly boosted Ra. Yet, Ra has spell and trap immunity while Jaden doesn't.

I've always wondered why Yugi chose Valkyrion for the Subspace Battle because it's pretty difficult to summon, and his Alpha is already in the graveyard. But then I realized that in the Duel Monsters anime, Valkyrion was used in two separate occasions for a ritual summon because of its high level. So I think he is just counting on drawing Black Luster Ritual at some point since he also got Black Luster Soldier in the Subspace Battle. And I think Yami Yugi would have that drawn next turn if Jaden just ended his turn to make Slifer go back to the graveyard. Then the duel would just continue with them going back and forth in summoning iconic boss monsters.

from what the yugioh wiki state the sacred beasts were returned to there resting place after the events of season 3 and as for Kagemaru, he and Sartorius in season 4 came to warn Jaden of an approaching danger coming to Duel Academy and they believe there the cause it from Kagemaru unleashing the Sacred Beasts in Season 1 the light of destruction arc from Sartorius in season 2 and Jaden's Yubel incident in season 3.

There is a possibility that Slifer isn't returned to the graveyard, because monsters were tributed in order to summon it and I believe in the animé it's the lack of tributes that make them leave if they were special summoned.

On that draw x more cards topic. I argue that with pkmn tcg the need to use energy cards balance that real estate in your hand..
@KipReacts11 ай бұрын
Pokemon is incredibly interesting in that regard. I had a discussion recently about how card draw isn't inherently bad, and if you wanted to slow a game like Yugioh down you start by eliminating a bunch of the tutors/search effects. Pokemon does have search cards, but outside of specific Pokemon or specific requirements mostly it's just card draw. Set Up Shaymin was HUGE back in EX format, and Crobat V as well. We can look back to Uxie in Gen 4 for some mad draw as well. The fact that you have to have the Pokemon and then attach the sufficient energy, which are once per turn, and there's a lack of hard searching like Yugioh makes it a game where mass draw is very much appreciated and far more balanced.

Personally, I feel like it would be kinda funny if Yugi's draw after Slifer leaves the field wound up being a total brick for once (as opposed to Atem seeming to _always_ draw the best possible card whenever he's in a real pinch), and this leads to Jaden winning so that the duel could serve as a sort of "Passing the Torch" moment, where the hero of the first series is surpassed by the hero of the "successor" series. Though if we do not have Atem "brick" on his draw, I feel like it would make the most sense for him to draw Swords of Revealing Light, as this then lets Atem stall for three full turn rotations without fear of Jaden being able to attack and disrupt Atem's efforts to rebuild his field, during which time Atem can restock on resources and work to rebuild his board provided Jaden can't get rid of Swords of Revealing Light early. And then those three turns from Swords of Revealing Light could have enabled Atem to rebuild his field with enough monsters that he's then able to perform a Tribute Summon as soon as the Swords expire to then bring out either Obelisk or Ra....though of the two I feel like Atem would most likely have drawn Obelisk before Ra, and Ra would have wound up being the last of the God cards Atem summoned in the duel, provided Jaden lasted that long and/or found a way to get past Obelisk as well. Though I also wouldn't be upset had this duel ended in a draw similarly to how the Graduation Duel between Jaden & Zane ended, as that kind of ending could be used to subtly say that Jaden is Yugi/Atem's "equal" at this point just the same as how Kaiba is his equal and rival. However, it is also worth noting that Jaden _does_ have Yubel on his side here, so he could feasibly manage to get Yubel onto the field if Atem manages to get rid of Jaden's Flare Neos & Shining Flare Wingman, possibly even pulling it off in such a way that Atem walks straight into Yubel's effect face-first. Even if Jaden only has access to "base" form and not Yubel's two more powerful forms, Yubel would probably catch Atem completely off guard with how nasty Yubel's effect is when triggered....perhaps even to the point that Jaden manages to win the duel entirely thanks to Yubel's effect successfully going off and Atem having no way to stop or dodge Yubel's effect.

Dark Side of Dimensions kind of throws and wrench in this as Yugi not only beats the Pharoh but beats a Kaiba who had surpassed that iteration of the Pharoh. So "Prime Yugi" should really be DSoD from what we've seen.
@Felnal10 ай бұрын
Not really. The "Prime Yugi" that Judai dueled belongs to the anime continuity. DSoD follows the manga continuity.

Divine Neos should have been retrained with what we got for Cosmo Neos instead of Cosmo Neos being made having its shut down effect on summon along with the ones it has. At least ATTK 3500 / Def 3000 and have only required Neos an Elemental Hero and a Neos Spacian to be easier to summon.

I hate tcg card of sanctity, there is an OBVIOUS way to make a fair card of sanctity without gutting it. "If you have 1 or more cards in your hand and your opponent has 1 or less" boom. Its always a net neutral at best, often a - several.
