This is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the Nintendo Switch and is developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo.
Since I'm replaying Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in Japanese, I thought I'd also switch it up and use the swimsuit DLC costumes.

In hindsight, this is why Rex was especially harsh on Glimmer when the latter cried about wanting to go to her Homecoming. To her permanent death. Rex doesn't wanna hear about anyone going to their death like it's a good thing. Certainly not his daughter who is the spitting image of her mother.

​​@@lilshokan If Mythra and Pyra are technically the same, just split personalities, doesn't that technically mean that Glimmer is also Mythra's daughter? At least, her half-daughter or something like that? Also, it's kinda ambiguous who Glimmer really belongs to since she has Pyra's hair color, Mythra's personality, and Pneuma's hairstyle, and when Linka referred to how she looks like her mother, she said , "She looks like *them*... Exactly." My head-canon is that Glimmer is both Mythra's and Pyra's child's data put together, since people from Origin are basically just that: Data .

​@@TheQueensAce719So xenoblade 2's ending shows that mythra and pyra split into 2 separate individual people, which is why everyone makes the joke about rex showing his 3 wives "a thing or 3". Prior to that though, in land of morytha mythra tells you that they're essentially all the same, ultimately just being the physical embodiment of a portion of the Trinity processor named Pneuma, but rex chooses to call them collectively either mythra or pyra based on the player's choice. I'm not smart enough to discuss how the whole Trinity processor works though other than each 3rd acts as a balance to keep the others in check (which is why Alvis goes berserk in 3 because Pneuma and which ever one malos was were no longer around to keep him in line). But to answer your question in the most simple of TL;DR terms- Pyra, mythra and Pneuma are essentially all the "same" until xenoblade 2's ending where Klaus splits them into 2 unique individuals... And Pneuma IDK what happened to her, I assume her consciousness got split between the 2. Glimmer has red hair so she absolutely is pyra's daughter.

Rex's Final driver armor was so bad ass. This whole game was the ultimate anime. Games that try to emulate anime in it's feeling often forget tropes like this and the fluid movements too. Each cutscene was a treat because XB2 never felt stiff. Not even once. It always felt like I was actually playing an Anime. I loved it so much man.

My only criticism about the English VA was that this scene was lacking the raw emotion my man in the Japanese version had. But I adored everything about the English voice acting otherwise.

This cutscene was just sooo amazing that I ended up going out to buy the trilogy for this game. Never played xenoblade chronicles ever, but this cutscene has so much passion and heart in the voice acting and the music. The music is top notch as if it was specifically made for this cutscene. Here's to hoping I like the game.

@Next-GenNeptune If I remember correctly to activate this mode you had to charge up a scale. And there was food that gave nice buffs over time to charge it up more quickly. I believe you could eat two at a time? May be that you also had to learn combos a bit. I think I remember slightly that combos were also part of the charge-up but if you reach that story point those should already be there. I ain't really clear on the exact know how anymore. But I could fill the scale every fight and use the mode.
