Yep, and even worse is the people selling their tiles at a massive discount compared to their book value. That tells you one of two things. Either a) the book value was fake or b) the seller thinks that the value will crater faster than they could sell it.

If Arya were as skilled and experienced in investing as he claims to be, he would definitely interpret these "insiders" selling as a huge red flag, as Kira said. While blindly following insiders and other big investors never is a good idea (always do you own research and risk assessment), it's always good to at least see what they do as a premonition of where the wind's gonna blow. Chances are that insiders know more about the project than people on the fringes.

The big differences between Axie Infinity and most of the NFT games that I've seen is that Axie has an active player base, pays you for playing the game, and allows you to cash out that money you got paid as Ethereum. The reason they berate everyone with negative thoughts is because the investments are so abstracted their worth is really in what people believe they are. Any negative thoughts has a very real chance of impacting the value. Their bullying has interest attached to it.

It is so funny to see how Earth 2 goes back and forth from being "real estate" to being "crypto currency/stocks" (I mean I know it is neither but let's humour the thought.) If it was actual real estate then there is no reason to sell it on a discount. Real estate prices usually only go up unless there are massive problems. If for instance you own a lot of land and then it turns out that it is actually on an active volcano and he is about to go off then you want to sell fast. So something like diamond hands don't apply. If it is a crypto currency the only reason to cash out like that is if you don't see any growth potential and/or a complete crash. And with every big name cashing out a crash is much more likely than the value going back up. For the prices to go back up this "game" needs a new batch of "investors" to keep the "economy" flowing. (I am using these terms very loosely here.) Also not financial advice, just my opinion.

Hey Kira. Quick answer to your action question. It basically means giving someone money to play poker and then taking a percentage of the winnings. I could lend you say 5k and you put up 5k but if you profit then I get 60% of what you win. It is a way for poker players to mitigate risk/enter higher buy-in games and tournaments. In context of the post about Ceaser's the guy is basically trying to throw in a free stake as an extra incentive to buy the 'property'. Basically the same as offering someone a car if they agree to buy your house

For the Poker part, and I looked it up to make sure of numbers, what the guy is offering is 10% of any money he makes. Now that being said if 7,500 people sign up only 1,125 will get paid with last paying $15,000. The buy in is $10K. If you buy his crap and he comes in last you get $1,500. If he wins the theoretical top prize of $8 million, well you get a sweet $800K. The chances of someone who just wants to give it a shot at even making the money is extremely slim, but hey if you’re going to gamble on E2 might as well gamble some more!
