Dream land is something we call a portal nexus. Has a heck ton of magics doing weird things, including making wormholes, both interstellar and interdimensional. The various earth critters including Adeleine are a result of multiple wormholes from earth, or some version of it anyways.

That portal looked like the ones the Star Cutter opens and had the same aesthetic inside, I wonder if that means Sphere Doomers will be coming back. Magalor *could* show up but it might feel out of place with all the Waddle Dee. Unless either the Star Cutter was stolen or he's opening the portal.

Star shaped portals have always been a indicator for gate ways to another dimension so it probably isn’t purely magolor as characters like parallel nightmare and Susie also use them… but it could be.

The anime isn't but Mass Attack is. However in that game it was Kirby's own heroic heart, not the Warp Star. But I doubt this game will talk about the Warp Star at all, there's really no reason to.

Calling this now before it's too late to say it -- from the first trailer, with the odd amusement park, I suspected that this may tie in somehow with the plot from Return to Dreamland (since Magolor went on to make his own amusement park). Then I saw the interdimensional rifts above each of the levels on the map in one of the trailers. Now it comes up again as the reason Kirby's here, and going into it reveals a version of space like the one seen at Halcandra. Something is afoot here, lore-wise.
