For Super Mario Bros. Wonder, you could’ve had Player 1 as Yoshi, because other players can ride the Yoshi players, which requires touch.

In the tennis games yoshi and toad are a duo team and toad wouldn’t be teammates with someone he hates and besides they can ride yoshi in new super Mario bros Wii and deluxe so toad was able to either make up with yoshi or sacrifice some for mid jumps to pent off some anger

No, the official guidebook specifies they are ? Blocks, NOT Bricks. They give the player “power up’s (which includes coins for some reason) as a gift to help him save Peach as she’d be able to free them.

you can actually sometimes get mario to walk all the way over and touch toad in the first 2 games. Smb1 optimally takes just over 2 minutes, 2j takes about 2:10

While Toad may have been absent during SMW; that was probably because he stayed to protect the kingdom while Mario, Luigi and Peach went to Dinosaur Land. And indeed, Toad and Birdo were the only ones around to defend the Peaceful Woods from Wario in Wario's Woods.

A faster way to touch a Toad in Mario Wonder is to enter 1-1 with Mario and a Toad, then kill toad, then when you revive the toad you will have touched a dead toad which counts because you never said that the toad has to be alive

This is why I was only in Japan. In Japan it's Super Mario Bros 2, but Nintendo knew it was too hard for us Americans, so they reused the game and made a new Super Mario Bros 2. The box cover says "Mario Madness" for some reason.

Technically, you can touch the playable Toad in Super Mario 3D World in single player. Using the GamePad or the Switch's touch screen, you have a cursor that allows you to directly interact with things without having to use the playable character, and that includes touching said playable character; including Toad of course. Even easier touching!

You can actually touch Toad faster in New Super Mario Bros Wii. If the 2nd player changes their character from Toad to someone else, then Toad will run off screen to the left and touch Mario on his way out.

So in SMB1 you actually can touch a toad. Remember that according to the manual bowser turned most of the mushroom kingdom inhabitants (the toads) into brick blocks. You can just _casually break one into a million pieces_ and job done!
