it's always "Kirby's a monster" this, "Kirby kills gods" that, but at the end of the day, Kirby's a good guy.

This was really, really great. I love the development shown here, with absolutely no words. I loved how there’s far more characters shown than before, but everything seems to flow fine and make sense. BWD and Dedede not being totally useless was really nice to see. That Marx Soul teaser after the ending is interesting.

absolutely love how marx explains two sides of one story, and i love how all the characters interact with eachother. i especially love how all the artwork is consistent, and it really feels like something from kirby itself! the marx fight scene was cool as well, and kirby teaming up with his friends in the end after all the ruckus that happened earlier is nice to see. overall a really good animation, and pretty underrated!

You know, regarding the first couple lines in the description... the whole idea of Kirby being this out-of-character monster who only cares for food doesn't sit well with me as a longtime fan, and those kind of jokes are more often than not tossed in with the likes of ''Super Mushrooms are drugs'' and ''Toad and Navi are annoying'' when it comes to cheap ''gamer humor'' that only the likes of Dorkly would unironically enjoy. With that said, it's always great to see fan animations that depict Kirby as the lovable pink puffball he truly is, and this is certainly no exception. I just hope that Marx has learned his lesson after attempting to squander Kirby's reputation... but then again, this is Marx we're talking about. Great work as always, Ultra Nerd, and happy holidays!

I think the real problem isn't the joke itself, but that when people take this concept, very few experiment with it, and when they do the final product is either painfully average or being desperate on seeking your attention. Now, I don't mind the dark content being exclusive to a second half in most of these videos nor am I opposed to their first one being lighthearted - if anything, it makes it all the worse when the latter part kicks in and it's kinda like the new Kirby games -, but the execution in them is awful. There seems to be an odd obsession of making Kirby look and sound like something that came out of a creepypasta, but it doesn't compliment his character at all. Heck, what kind of personality is "killing people because they exist"? And I would overlook them if they weren't taking themselves seriously or trying to tell an "important" message, but they do. Whenever someone comments "I don't remember Kirby being this evil!" there always has to be someone replying "Nah, he's always been like this!" and for the same reasons: Oh, but Mouse Attack. Oh, but this is just one of his alternative counterparts. Oh, but it's a joke. The best case of why I dislike this thread is Dumbest of All Words' analysis on Kirby's character: Kirby Sucks: A Mathematical & Ethical Proof. Right off the bat, we have a person taking on an important question in the fanbase with a (mostly) serious script, but the editing kills any dignity the video had to begin with. The average scene goes "Kirby should go to jail for his sins! Also, haha, little pink borb has butt cheeks!" And don't get me started on the evidence! She keeps going on and on about how Kirby is a war criminal that puts his face in all of our bad moments but she rarely has anything to back up her claims, except when she makes an animation that depicts what SHE THINKS Kirby would do if he saw people about to get invested! "I can take months making an animation of my personal headcannons, but God forbid I have to study any information from Kirby's games besides Mouse Attack's plot!" That's bad mentality, especially for science analyses! A theory may not be accurate but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try making it even just a bit believable. Don't spit out dumb things you just thought about, even if your theory is crazy to begin with! Headcannons are valid, but they don't salvage scientific facts. Not to say she doesn't use any "official" evidence but that's just what most people would use to make Kirby look bad. We can talk smack about MatPat's theory as much as we want, but at least that had some unique evidence (despite being inaccurate), Dumbest of All Words' references stuff like Mouse Attack's story, him having infinite power and (in my opinion, the dumbest) his adventures starting due to his naps or snack times being interrupted because others do too. First of all, can we all just find an excuse to defend Mouse Attack's plot? I mean, is it too hard to picture Kirby having a reason to get that cake back? People keep defending Meta Knight battling him because "he's training him" and I think that's a good reason (it doesn't justificate what he did in revenge of Meta Knight or in Squeak Squad later on but still), some may think King Dedede was possessed during Kirby's Dream Land, which is kinda crazy but fine, I can see why someone would think that since outside of the spinoffs and the anime, Dedede was never a villain nor an antagonist, but whenever someone brings up Mouse Attack's plot, everyone blames the game or the company behind it for making Kirby out of character. What if the people around him made a big deal out of that cake to the point where he wanted it so badly? What if he was so hungry that he couldn't think properly and didn't consider buying another piece? What if that was its last piece? Kids tend to do stupid stuff more than you think, but no one acknowledges that or maybe everyone disregards it when Kirby makes a mistake. No joke, every time people posts a comic of Kirby doing one, I always saw someone calling him the pink demon in the comments (Also, this might be a small nitpick, but can we stop using appearances of names like "pink terror" or "pink demon" as evidence that he's a bad guy? It's just a nickname! Does that mean Mega Man is literally a bomb-throwing robot because one of his nicknames is the blue bomber?) I hate to be that guy, but I don't see power as one of the main reasons a character can be evil! Just because a character is able to do something, doesn't mean he WOULD do it! He may be able to suck up the entire sea but that alone doesn't warrant him doing that willingly! And as for the other two, they're even worse than the first two combined! The former may be worse but that's subjective, I guess! I don't get why the times his naps get interrupted are evidence that he's mean-spirited! I mean, Kirby fought Dyna Blade in her own game because it was rumored that she stole Dream Land's crops, he fought the Haltmann company which tried to hurt Dream Land's environment just to bring back Haltmann's daughter and he fought the Jambastion crew because they wanted to summon a god of destruction, casually possess people, and hurt those who were against it. His naps aren't a major plot point, you can easily change them to Kirby playing football and it wouldn't crucially change the story's pacing. And as for the latter, well, you COULD say that Kirby fought King Dedede in Dream Land because he wanted the food all to himself, but then HOW do you explain him throwing some food in the water for the fishes to eat and then the rest to the civilians? That alone perfectly represents Kirby's selflessness, and if you're going to use Squeak Squad's story as evidence that he once committed genocide for no reason, I'll let you know that most of the enemies in that game attack him in 90% of the other installments. The ending really takes the cake (no pun intended)! You wanna know why she did this video? So that others could twit at Nintendo of America #cancelKirby posts and remove him from Smash because she hates his down-B. Man, if that doesn't scream egoism, I don't know what does! Kirby Sucks: A Mathematical & Ethical Proof is everything wrong with this trend and I hope people start to become more creative with it, but judging from the new videos from the most popular Kirby-related channels, I doubt they will!

@@pain3236 Well... in fairness, that's only because Flagship pretty much flanderized everyone in Squeak Squad. Heck, in the next mainline Kirby game, Kirby's Return To Dream Land, Kirby actually ignores the slice of cake he ended up dropping on the ground in the opening cutscene in favor of helping out Magolor. And it certainly helps that the flavor of the cake slice in question was strawberry shortcake, just like the slice that Squeak Squad's plot infamously revolved around. Granted, you could make the argument that Kirby may still be at fault in some way given Magolor's betrayal later in the game, but even then that was due to the Master Crown and not Magolor himself. But either way, given that Kirby is normally this friendly kid who is selfless and heroic to a fault, his actions in Squeak Squad definitely come across as being completely out-of-character. Honestly, I'd say it's comparable to how Tails was treated in Sonic Forces... just in case you know what I'm talking about. Oh, and uh... enemies technically don't die in the Kirby series, they respawn off-screen. I mean, how else can you explain Bandana Waddle Dee showing up as the sole audience member of the Masked Dedede fight in Kirby Super Star Ultra regardless if he was swallowed by Kirby or not prior to the battle?

@@pain3236 Meta knight tried to conquer dreamland and didn’t try to explain Kirby what the hell was happening and the box didn’t have he’s cake, squeak squad has flanderization but the fandom always blames Kirby for everything even if he does nothing that bad to be Calle the pink demon other than killing gods while the other characters are treated like they didn’t made horrible things for stupid stuff so we can just send squeak squad characterization down the toilet please?

The whole point of Marx is literally being a exception of Kirby universe rules, given the Chance to redeem but still being a unredeemable baddie, after all he’s the only dlc dream friend in star allies with a boss fight and even in smash bros he gets the title of the creepy one taking villager place has the creepiest and still feeling unnerving and that there’s something wrong with the fight even with sephiroth in scene After all Marx is the only idiot in the franchise which decides to be mean with Kirby and decides to be a unredeemable little trash,Marx isn’t a being made to naturally oppose Kirby in the great scheme of things but just a opposite in everything just being a evil Kirby drunk with power which instead of a friendly puffball he’s a backstabber jester So don’t ever except him to ever redeem, he will just try to destroy the universe any day because he simply wants to see some chaos

I can see the effort you put into each video and each new animation shows an incredible improvement !! I've really seen you progress since your first video (which was amazing too!). You have become one of the best Kirby animators from my point of view. It is so impressive that you can reflect the personalities of each character so well through your animations, and that is something that stands out a lot about you, because I have seen thousands of Kirby animations and none comes as close to the personalities of the characters as what do you, it's just amazing !! How fluid your animations are and the sound effects you put into them, it shows that you put a lot of effort into it. I imagine animating just 10 seconds must take quite a while, and doing it so meticulously is highly admirable. some constructive criticism, some of the non-fight scenes that tell the story are paced too fast. like it could definitely be easier to tell what was going on if it didn’t go so quick. Actually that could help a little with some of the fight scenes as well. Like more meaty strong hits instead of so many quick swipes. Especially from Dedede.
