I really do love the direction Kirby games are going. Return to Dreamland set a new standard for them, but each new game is different enough to where it feels like more than a rehash of the last game. I was worried about this game being too similar to Triple Deluxe, but it really surprised me in a good way. When and if a new main series Kirby game pops up for the Wii U or NX, I want it to have the same feel as that.

I came up with a theory about Galactic Nova from Super Star (Ultra). Now, we know that "Star Dream Soul OS" is actually the name of the last-ditch program that Star Dream uses to keep itself alive after Galacta Knight one-shot it. And for some reason, using that program made his "Nova face" go from white to yellow like Galactic Nova, complete with the drawings surrounding its face. Now, what I'm wondering is, could Galactic Nova have also been keeping itself functionning by using some sort of "Soul OS" program ? After all, the huge gaping hole on its face shows that he has suffered heavy damage in the past, which might have killed it if it weren't for a last-ditch program. And that would also explain Star Dream's color change : perhaps all clockwork stars turn yellow with sunrays once they use their last-ditch program. ... I'm really overthinking this, am I not ?

I think if you listen during the final fight against Star Dream soul os, the distorted sounds it makes are Haltmann's scream voice clips but distorted heavily. Especially its death scream. Makes sense since star dream did absorb Haltmann's soul.

Although it's a simple fun ability at first glance, true mastery of ESP y reveals that it has a teleport move that removes Kirby's hitbox making it one of the few, if not only, move that can completely negate the rings that Star Dream.Soul OS fires and can cover ground easily, an energy ball move that, when spammed near an enemy without charging, has impressive DPS, and a counter "prediction" move that, when used right, is like an omnidirectional Fire Hammer without the long startup and cooldown. If you are able to combine this with extensive knowledge of how to fight Core Kabula and Star Dream in the quickest way possible, then you can potentially beat the True Arena in less than 14 minutes. Tops.

Heart of Star Dream have many attacks that resembles the previous boss of old Kirby games. Here is the list of them: 1. The whole stage of this boss look just like the room of Galactic Nova's heart. 2. The energy crystals in first phase is a smoother version of Nova's energy crystals. 3. In second phase, the laser attack is probably like the one used by Magolor Soul in Return to Dreamland (the way the energy burst out from the floor). 4. The rockets that used in Rocket Shooting attack is actually the enemies that fought inside Galactic Nova when Kirby used the Star Ship to flew around. 5. The Cutter Throw move is the main attack of almost every soul boss in previous Kirby games (like Sectonia soul, Marx soul, Drawcia soul). 6. Finally, we have the Heart of Atomic Bomb move which the color of each piece of the heart resembles the color of Marx's Rain of Blob attack. All the moves are name by me.

Well, with a few twists while you're at it. Dedede Clones/2.0: What annoying little pests! But it uses the cannon in a unique way and it has a callback to Kirby Fighters Deluxe. HaltMann/2.0: "That's rough, buddy." (His daughter died while creating Star Dream and is the main reason he is focused on finishing it. However, his daughter never died. Who is it? Simple. It's Susie.) C.O.G.S/Core Kabula: C.O.G.S wasn't that bad, but HAL made up for it by putting Kabula on steroids. Dark Matter Clone: Out of all the things I expected HAL to bring back, this wasn't one of them. Needless to say, I'm really surprised by this one. Sectonia Clone: JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WILL YOU JUST STAY FUCKING DEAD FOR ONCE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!! Galacta Knight Returns: Kinda expected this to happen. But he got some new attacks that make up for it. Star Dream/Soul OS: Nice callback to Zero Two shooting style, HAL. Also, I never expected the wish granting cat comet to appear again. Star Dream Soul OS Core battle seemed intense as it needed to be. Overall, fight was long, but worth it. We actually got to see the power of Nova for once.

...and President Haltmann. It says that he lost his daughter, and reactivated Star Dream to try to bring her back, but by the time he realized that not even Star Dream could make such a wish come true, it was too late.

The reason why Sectonia returned is because she has blades. Star Dream was testing Meta Knight's fighting ability by giving him opponents that would be evenly matched with him so he bought back Dark Matter and then Sectonia. When that failed he opened a portal to Another Dimension to summon Galacta Knight however this backfired horribly as Galacta Knight stubbornly slashes at Star Dream supposedly killing him. But of course Star Dream not knowing when to throw in the towel activates his back up programs and as a result unleashes his full power in a true final showdown. Kirby realizing the only real way to destroy the OS for good is to take out it's nucleus so Kirby enters Star Dream and destroys him from the inside. In the process though Kirby also unfortunately had to kill Haltmann...or at least what was left of him.

I've beaten almost every Kirby game (Dreamland 3 on SNES and Mass Attack I haven't beaten, and hardly played). I've beaten all the Arenas, and True Arenas. I beat this on my second time after I learned Archer's defense didn't work against the last nova heart attack waves. I was down to one hit the ENTIRE Nova Heart fight. Good lord, I'm good at shooters, but that last 3 phase Soul boss took nearly 1.5 health bars from me. No AMIBO for me. Definitely the hardest True Arena.. Thank Godness for Archer. Possible with other abilities (DDD is hard with archer in this game, when the 3 clones are out, they never get off you) but Archer made this possible on my second attempt. I love how even though Marx isn't in the game, the Final Phase of the Nova Heart has Marx inspired attacks, teleporting around, when it splits to attack from above, and when it fires the crescent moon blades, or both.

I'm honestly surprised at how much people hate the desperation attack. I mean, they gave A LOT of warning, so I found it really easy to avoid.
