The idea of fighting all the bosses over in a row was mind blowing to me as a kid. Now boss rushes are very common, but back then far fewer games had anything like that (I can't even think of any other than this one off the top of my head).

Wonderful memories, and my favourite boss fight in the game with Meta Knight. And his debut too. I remember when he made an epic return in Kirby's Fun Pak (Superstar) and has since became a staple character of the series. I'll always love Kirby!

I must admit, as someone who has LP'ed this game in both Normal and Hard mode. I've tried the boss rush several times, and I've never been able to do it. The majority of the time I lose to Meta Knight. Well done!

This game will always hold true to my heart. 20-25 years ago I remember this game being the first game that I ever beat to 100% completion back when I was like 7. Sure Super Mario Bros on NES was the first game I ever played but that I didnt beat that until later. As a picky completionist bastard I dont forget about this memory. Any game that I platinum on PSN or any game I get 1000/1000 on Xbox live I always think back to this game for inspiration :) This always was one of my favourite games for the NES... "anything you can do I can do better" indeed :D

I just beat this game! I had Kirby 64 as a kid but this is the first Kirby game I've ever completed. What a great experience. Nightmare took forever!

If I got to play this game back in 1993 I would have shuffed my Mega Drive aside (for a while at least). loved Kirbys Dreamland on the Game Boy although I found it to be way too short. I never realised there was a NES version until I got into emulation in 1996.

In this game's fight with Meta Knight, unlike subsequent fights, you absolutely _had_ to get the sword. Because of this, instead of Kirby's ability becoming Sword normally, Kirby temporarily utilizes the Sword ability while fighting Meta Knight.

Has anyone ever beaten this? I've tried this so many fucking times, and I've never done it. Not even the time I accidentally got the glitch that gives you a million fucking mics. It's so ridiculously difficult. I think the furthest I've ever gotten is to Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright.
