Kirby has reasons why he trash talked the others, here's what I think was justified, not polite, and straight up gangsta. Waddle Dee was forced into playing (Not Polite) Bronto Burt called Kirby his "Next victim" and Kirby only talked back after Bronto Burt said that (Justified) Waddle Doo tried to get revenge after what happened to Waddle Dee (Middling) Poppy Bros. Sr threatened to blow Kirby up and again, Kirby only talked back after Poppy said that. (Justified) Whispy not wanting his roots stepped on but Kirby did it anyway (GANGSTA) Kirby called Kabu a boulder, but the dialouge makes it clear Kirby didn't recognize at first and was threatened that his road to glory would end. (Justified) Broom Hatter, was told by Kirby to clean up his Avalanche skills (BEST LINE IN THE GAME also GANGSTA) Squishy was interrupted by Kirby and told to meddle in someone else's affairs and was threatened as a result. (Not Polite) Kirby told Lololo and Lalala for making it this far they must have a-MAZE-ing skills Lololo and Lalala threaten him afterwards (Middling, it was hard to decide tbh) Bugzzy roared at Kirby and Kirby shows his bravery and teases how he's not scared. (Justified) Paint Roller, is a fricking bully saying he would paint Kirby a painting of Kirby losing. (CERTAINLY Justified) Heavy Mole tells Kirby he's gonna undermine his precious dream and Kirby saying he will not be distracted by his tactics (Justified) Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright tell Kirby to be gone and Kirby only says his banger line after he is threatened. (Justified) Kracko almost shocks Kirby with a bolt and Kirby again only retaliates after being threatened. (Justified) Meta Knight basically forgets (or teases idk lmao) he's in a tournament of Avalanche and challenges Kirby to a duel and Kirby reminds him of the fact he's in a tournament. (Justified)

That's because they're different versions of the same game - that being called Puyo Puyo. They weren't confident it would sell well overseas, so the English versions were changed - the Genesis version became Mean Bean Machine, and the SNES version became this!

At the time, it was believed the original characters wouldn't appeal to people outside of Japan. There was an English version of the arcade release, but the script was ridiculously inaccurate.
