This game wasn't a ripoff of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. Kirby's Avalanche and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine were alternate versions of Puyo Puyo. In terms of music, MBM is more superior because most of the original tracks in Puyo Puyo are in the game itself, plus Carbunkle (Has Been) from Puyo Puyo is also in it. Kirby's Avalanche's music is pretty much remixed Kirby's Adventure songs and the only Puyo Puyo music is the panic music.

Manases Sanchez they are not clones, more like reskins. Both are made by Compile, which is the same company that made puyo puyo back then, so it's official. The kirby one seems have direct influence from HAL though (and more polished than robotnik imo). Both are simply localized versions of super puyo puyo, probably trying to boost sales. Though I believe it would still sell well without the reskins, though I might be wrong as Japan is not as unknown as it's used to be back then. Please do a proper research first rather than making an incorrect conclusion.
