Plucifer The Invincible I agree. Magalor is way better developed than Marx, Marx just appears at the beginning using the “stop the bad guy” block command, then fighting you afterwards only returning back in SSU as Marx Soul and Marx, and a cameo in Return to Dreamland being hidden in the Kirby Master cinematic, then a character in Star Allies. But Magalor is there with you through out the whole story, even when he’s a villain. Return to Dreamland may have been inspired by Super Star, but that doesn’t mean it’s worse. They’re both good games along with the villains. I don’t hate Marx, it’s a good villain and I actually really like Marx. Magalor was just such a cool villain being able to use your own super abilities, manipulating you to help him and also build his ship, the Lor Starcutter after it was damaged. The one last thing that I love about Magalor is the Magalor Races in Kirby’s 20th Anniversary as a sub-game. The last one is literal hell if you don’t use the right abilities, and it took me 7 months to beat the EX race for the first time because I thought Wing was the best ability due to its mobility. I was a kid about age 9 at the time when the game released, and I loved it. Also 20th Anniversary’s Last Land music. BEAUTIFUL.

Maybe it's partially nostalgia, but this is my favorite Kirby game by a long shot. I liked that this one had a bit more of a storyline than the others, great music, and the awesome of a mechanic of the super abilities. You know it's a great Kirby game when you can play it through a million times and not get bored with it

Also you forgot to mention that Magolor is actually not evil, now yes he did still want to take over the universe and destroy Popstar. However, after the first phase of the fight with him, the Master Crown actually possessed him. After he was defeated, in Kirby Dream Collection: Special Edition, Magolor goes out of his way to apologize for the incident by BUILDING KIRBY AN ENTIRE GODDAMN AMUSEMENT PARK JUST FOR HIM, and he sounds 100% when he apologized. Oh yeah and in King Dedede Drum Dash he built another amusement park for dedede.

Actually, the two other kirby games "being developed as well" weren't two other games, but the same game just being tested with different concepts, which is why return to dreamland took 12 years to develop, because they were testing many different concepts.

This game was my first introduction to Kirby so ill always love it. My dad had a Wii that had this device that had like over 100 games on it but for some reason some cutscenes didnt work on a lot of games, so I didnt see the beginning of the game so I thought Dedede was a good guy

oh man was Kirbys return to Dreamland good. I playd it multiple times to 💯 % and I can tell the true Arena is very very Hard in singelplayer but at least i beat it. :D

This was my first kirby game. a friend of mine introduced me to the series (And this game) when it came out... and I never would've thought that years later I'd still be playing kirby games, and that the adorable pink puffball would've became my FAVORITE game franchise. #Kirbyisawesome

Despite Magalor's similarities to Marx, he's still my favourite character in the series, and my favourite villain. I wasn't expecting the twist, and I really enjoyed the final battle with him. While it's more likely that Bandana Dee will be added to Smash, I think Magalor would be a much more unique character to play as.
