If anyone was curious where the hearts they missed were, they were back in Bandana Waddle Dee's section. There was a button inside a wall they needed to hit which would've had the two hearts. The reason they probably missed it is because there's a floating cube in the foreground that covers up the switch, so it was kinda hidden & none of them noticed it.

Technically it's closer to Half Health rather than Double Damage, since the healing is "doubled" as well. TRG haven't brought it up yet, but on some other part of this LP someone in the comments explained that each individual buddy has their own HP Value. So for example, Sir Kibble and Bonkers have different amounts of HP, despite the bar being the same size. Adeleine and Ribbon are near the bottom in terms of overall HP. Perhaps as a reference to her boss fight in Kirby 64, but also probably just to balance the fact that she can literally just summon food to heal with whenever she wants. And also if you were curious, the character with the most HP is Kirby. Which makes sense, since P1 is usually stuck with him. I'm not sure how much HP Magalor has, but it's at least lower than Kirby's so it's understandable why Jon has had the least deaths, on top of him just playing better than the other two.

Heroes in Another Dimension is anything but a Piece of Cake. 0:45 Only Kirby and Dedede have traditional flight controls. Most entities fall like a rock instead of floating down while others such as Magalor and Taranza have free floating without needing to repeatedly press jump. 3:15 Clean can blow out and douse fires so that’s why they offered it and Water. 9:50 Knowing how broken Dream Friends can be, the fact that they are giving you three opportunities to get them and have a full party of Dream Friends plus Kirby means whatever they have in store (which you should probably figure out who it is based on the flora and the layout) is going to be mean. 11:05 I like how in every Woods fight they refuse to fight with Sizzle element. Oh well, at least Daroach has access to it. 12:33 And Jon was nearly dead there too. This is just the first boss, and it’s a Whispy reskin. Yeah, they are going to die a lot in this recording if they weren’t careful (which the only time you’ll see the Guys and careful in the same sentence is if the word “aren’t” is in the middle). Getting the good ending doesn’t require all (just 100. The good ending unlocks the last Dream Friend), but getting a 100% file does. But I don’t wanna conquer Dimension X!
@GBDupree11 ай бұрын
It interesting that they initially gave Dedede a float early in the series so that he could reasonably fly like Kirby and feel like he's a threat equal in power. But then later on the series let other characters just jump infinitely or fly. So, when Dedede is playable he's unnecessarily nerfed by slowly floating, when he could've just infinitely jumped like everyone else. Kinda sucks that is the case considering this game in particular is brutally slow with floating compared to any other character's movement. It makes Dedede feel even worse, as though he is the worst Dream Friend. I think they need to rebalance movement, as Kirby should be much better with floating than someone just jumping. I think Superstar made Kirby feel special for floating as the others had trouble jumping over time and didn't have as much horizontal movement from what I remember. It's just weird that the iconic floating of the series is now the worst movement option in the game, when it was supposed to be special. I think the reason for Clean being there is so that Meta-Knight can get gust which makes his movement in the air faster and better in some ways. Though clearly its not needed, but its just there as an option. The Dream Friends seem broken for sure, but with Adeleine taking more damage than everyone else, Is the Paint ally technically better? Paintra I think is the name, they have a healing move as well (though maybe it gives less food?) and have normal health I assume? So in that case, I think for healing the dream friend isn't the best option. (I think Chef Kawasaki isn't good enough for damage dealing to be worth it over Paintra, but I could be wrong).
@Rexaura88811 ай бұрын
@@GBDupree Dedede can still fast fall at least by exhaling. Adeline takes more damage (or rather she has less health), but her Al Fresco is more beneficial. Not only does it produce more food (and substantial ones at that) but also star points and even a 1-up. Viridia makes up for it with having more HP, but she doesn’t have a lot of long range-options or elemental coverage compared to Adeline.

Jon is actually wrong, you need at least 100 hearts to get the good ending. When I played it I got 105 hearts and got the good ending. Also Heroes in Another Dimension doesn’t count towards 100% nor do the pictures. Spoiler warning. In order to 100% you need to get everything in story mode, complete Guest Star Allies Go, complete both mini games and beat the 2nd highest difficulty in the Ultimate Choice, “Soul Melter”. Notice I said 2nd highest difficulty. When completing Heroes in Another Dimension or beat Soul Melter, depends on which one you do last, Soul Melter EX is unlocked. In addition to be insanely difficult there is actually an interesting prize for completing. Even though the game came out the year after Kirby’s 25th anniversary year, it was meant to celebrate it. That’s why the pictures depict past games and why characters from several past games appear as Dream Friends. When you beat Soul Melter EX, you can play as Kirby in his original design. If you look at the box art for Kirby’s Dreamland, ignoring the fact that he’s white which a localization mistake by Nintendo of America, his face is a lot different than what it is today. You get to play as Kirby with that face.

Over? We're like halfway through the LP. This mode feels nearly as long as the main game (and including the challenge of it, may end up being as long). Then Guest Star Allies is an abridged version of the main story (at least 70% as long, and once its beaten it unlocks the DLC characters which apparently have a slightly different version if they end up doing that). And then they have to beat the Arena mode, "the Ultimate choice", *4* TIMES to finish it (it starts out with a limited version, which when beaten unlocks the full version of the basic bosses, then that unlocks a new difficulty, Soul Melter, that has most of the harder versions of bosses. and then after that it unlocks Soul Melter EX, a version with ALL the harder bosses and a new boss at the end). I can imagine the Soul Melter and EX both taking multiple episodes to beat. So all in all, we may not even be at the halfway point! I'm not sure if they will actually commit to beating Soul Melter EX considering its difficulty.

These Parallel bosses are quite a step up in difficulty not only relative to the bosses of the main story, but even the EX bosses (and other equivalents) in prior Kirby titles before Star Allies. These Parallel bosses make most of those previous EX bosses seem rather easy by comparison, which will be especially evident when we reach some of the later ones.
@BrightBuld11 ай бұрын
I'd say it's noticeable in the case of Parallel Woods (given that Whispy already had an "EX form" in the base game), but not so much for the other four.
@C_Arson11 ай бұрын
@@BrightBuld I disagree, but fair enough, everyone's experience with difficulty isn't the same. I just found Heroes in Another Dimension's bosses (or the DLC bosses in general) on average to be noticeably more challenging than usual for Kirby at the time (particularly ones like Parallel Kracko), which I personally enjoyed.
@BrightBuld11 ай бұрын
@@C_Arson I mean, at the end of the day, it depends on how much you've managed to adapt to the Bosses' moveset. Return to Dream Land and Triple Deluxe (Forgotten Land as well)'s Boss attacks were generally more punishing, but easier to evade. It's seemingly vice-versa in the case of the future two entries though- this one most notably. If you don't have proper memorization of a Boss, you'll experience pain regardless of their design philosophy (even moreso for the aforementioned three).
@C_Arson11 ай бұрын
@@BrightBuld I do find Star Allies' DLC bosses trickier to avoid, so you're not wrong in that regard (though I'd argue at least some do also hit pretty hard, like Morpho Knight EX or the Mage Sisters' DLC fights). Admittedly, one point I forgot to consider regarding Star Allies is the use of Dream Friends, since if you're using them to their fullest, the bosses become substantially easier. The DLC bosses were apparently designed with the DLC Dream Friends in mind, so they're naturally harder when you're playing as Kirby, which player 1 is forced to do for the ones in Heroes in Another Dimension. When using Dream Friends, I would agree that Star Allies' DLC bosses aren't necessarily harder than EX bosses in other Kirby titles due to how effective the characters can be, though if you're sticking to just Kirby, they also have the potential to be much harder in my view (though you could also probably get similar, possibly greater, challenge out of Forgotten Land's EX bosses by not using Evolved Abilities. I haven't done Forgotten Land's arena modes without Evolved Abilities, so I'm not sure how hard that is).
@BrightBuld11 ай бұрын
@@C_Arson Oh yeah, those were exceptions I did consider. Morpho Knight EX has two hard-hitting moves (Upper Caliber and its "Distortion Waves", although it alone technically doesn't deal tremendous damage), and its moveset is generally filled with tricky attacks, though you could also say it's the result of being an "EX EX" Boss as well- especially that of a Knight Boss known to usually be second place for a modern boss rush. The three Mage Sisters are littered in combing attacks and the most damaging sequence of attacks in the game, and it doesn't help if you practically don't know what's going on due to the absurdity of it all, so I can agree they're most likely tougher than your typical Secret Boss,, what with Morpho Knight. The factor of Star Allies effectively reducing Bosses' difficulty by a heavy margin, particularly in the case of 1.0 (Guest Star didn't help Morpho) was something I did think of, but it didn't really affect the 3.0 additions's general difficulty as HP is determined by the amount of helpers. Though, if you know the ends-and-outs of a Dream Friend, they absolutely can make even those Bosses feel as if they're not much or even trivial (then again you could say that about the infamous Hammer and Archer).
