Matt Jones The delicate switch comes in handy most definitely. If you have rugs and/ or delicate curtains, it is a must. Whatever you do, though, make sure that the switch is in normal mode when using the shampooer. If in delicate, it will burn the motor up.

They got rid of the delicate switch because people were using it 24/7 and prematurely wearing out the motor
