Very interesting stats!!!! Grt comparisons and relating them as well to the G4. Thks Dean. Like the idea of the low speed/high speed switch. Looks like I might have to add to my Kirby collection an Ultimate G Diamond edition. Agree that cleaning scatter mats is a challenge with the Kirby older editions that don't have the speed switch. I must admit that I don't use my G3 or G4 for cleaning those mats; I get out my Electrolux canister with the power head to clean them. :)

Right on! That was very nice to see. When I upgraded my G7UGDE I used the Avalir bag and handle along with the black bumper for the power head. Been debating on wheels and cord (I have a full Avalir picked up cheap $20) keeping the G7 for the delicate switch. Updated the looks with the new bag plus universal style hose is so much easier. Thanks for the test!

@@barryrutter5936 Yep. The entire assembly will fit. Mini-emptor, bag, hose, universal bags, strap, etc. All these Kirby's from G4 to current will interchange with a few minor exceptions on G4.

I put the Avalir mini emtor and oblique brush roller on my GSix...huge improvement in performance. Better airflow and carpet grooming. Love your videos. Keep them coming.

if as an American, if i wanted to take my g3 to Romania what would I have to do to convert it electrically to make it work?

You would need a drop down transformer, same as I use in in Australia for my USA game consoles and my Uk tools , This will drop the voltage from 240v to 110v 👍🔔

K.E., I don't think US spec 110v G3/G4 had higher power motors than later G series machines. All spec 7A motors, I don't know the motor power factor so don't know the watts.

I’m not to sure with US models , I know European had this change . I think with US the only way to check would be cfm test comparison with G3 upgraded compared to a. later G4 or G5. 👍👍

This looks a great idea I order a used Kirby sentria ge10 bag with mini emptor off ebay do the bags that fit the diamond edition fit the ge 10 mini emptor or are they a different fit

The bags are the same fitment , I always put links to new parts used in video description . As had a lot of issues with 2nd hand damaged emptiers from eBay . Just luck of the draw I find with eBay

I took the top bit of the fill tube that connects to the bag on the diamond edition and fitted it to the sentria ge10 e outer bag so I can continue using the diamond edition bags it’s made a huge difference to the suction it’s more stronger then the boot that was on there and it’s generated a higher suction

I found out that the sentria use a f fit bag where the diamond edition uses a g fit

Think of it like an exgaust on a car if you fitted a wider opening fron the exhaust manfold you would reduce back pressure thats the only way i can explain it or if you go from a wide funnel to a straw . Hope that makes sense

I had the chance of getting an excellent price on the upgraded mini emtor for my g7d but not realising that the tube is a different size, can you tell what I need to make it all fit thanks.

It should be the same size fill tube , Kirby changed the fill tube on G7 which should be exactly the same as avalir. It can be a little difficult to remove , just use a hairdryer to heat up slightly. Should make it easier to remove and refit to new emptor. 👍🛎️

@@KirbyEnthusiast Thank you for getting back to me, I have had a bit of a measure and the new emtor has an internal measurement of 60mm and 68mm outside part number is BA-188809 , the emtor on the G7d has an internal measurement of 54mm and outside is 62mm part number BA1889. I think I have a marriage of an older bag assembly and a newer unit but I am still keen to do the upgrade so if you could give me the part number of a newer fill tube and bag connection that would be great. Thanks once again. Gary

Having just bought a low mileage Sentria I decided to fit the new part to it instead but still the same problem but this time put the tube end into hot water then pushed it over spray can the right size and hey presto correct size end .

I did this to mine as I don’t use my Sentria and thought it would help out my DE which I use as my workhorse. The OCD in me doesn’t like the fact that it’s a darker gray. But I do think I like it lol. I still have the original emtor so I if I eventually decide I don’t wanna keep it I can put the original one back.

I did contemplate using plastic spray paint to get it closer to the G7 grey colour . Though I think it blends with the darker diamond pattern on the bag

@@KirbyEnthusiast I ended up changing it back to the original one. I just couldn’t get over the color difference. It’s still a beast of a vacuum and still cleans very well. I just love my Diamond Edition very much and want it to look it’s best.
