The Kirby Sentria 2 was released in 2011 this was the 2nd Kirby to have the upgraded mini emptor, from the late Kirby Sentria that Kirby replaced to improve airflow that G6 to early Sentria used lacking airflow compared to the legend 2.
The Kirby Company gave the Kirby Sentria 2 a more modern retro look with led light, bigger handle and the new Oblique brush roll to clean deeper and agitate deep pile carpet more.

I just brought my legend 2 home today from the shop. Scored it for 5 bucks with attachments, everything lubricated, new brush roll, light and fan and i must say its my favourite. The crazy part is how quiet they are yet still so powerful ❤️

Pretty funny a 20 year newer vacuum still doesn't do all that great compared to a 20 year older vacuum LOL. Very small difference, but goes to show Kirby does a great job regardless which model you have. The tech drive would be nice LOL. My grandparents had an old Classic 3, that thing was hard to push, no need for a gym membership, just bench-press the vacuum and push it across a medium to high pile carpet and you'll have your workout done in no time LOL.

Hi William: So neat you mentioned the Kirby Classic III. My parents had one too. I remember them buying it when I was in my final year of high-school in Gr. 13 (June 1978) in Canada. I have inherited it after their passing and use it on the second floor of the family home. Yeah, it is a monster to push' quite the workout!!--- but I am so spoiled now with the tech drive in my G3 and G4. :) I do find it kind of loud too when using the attachments when it kicks into high gear--- should wear ear plugs. :) But amazing how it still performs..... 43 years old.

Another great comparison challenge. Legend II has done remarkably well! It has really held it's own....and now a tie. Dean, I am wondering if I can upgrade my G3 and G4 with the mini Em-Tor? Thks. Looking fwd to how the Avalir (spelling???) does against the Legend II. My bet is on the Legend II ---- but I really like older vacs/equipment/appliances.
