I am so glad that I am not the only one that thinks this. Throughout the past 2.5 years since GT7 came out, I have noticed among many sim racers no matter what title they play, mainly this one, rather than adapting to any changes in any situation such as the new physics, they just whine and assume that it's just horrible rather than actually applying critical thinking and problem solving skills. They would rather have instant gratification rather than learning and appreciating something over time that will help them in the long run no matter what racing game they play.

That's like 99% of SIM racers lol. They all think they can drive and none of them have ever been on a race track. All the A class drivers live in their parents basement and all the BS drivers don't have the time because they have real race cars to drive at real race tracks😅

The new physics are great. The cars are finally more lively and playful, instead of being completely numb like they were preupdate. It's getting closer to Forza Motorsports titles physics, but with GTs amazing car models and accurate engine sounds. Best of both worlds. For new people - Also, it should be obvious, but the throttle and brakes are not on/off switches. Press and release them smoothly and progressively. Same for steering inputs, slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Don't yank the wheel or joystick. Furthermore, your car wants to only be doing one of the following at a time: turning, braking, or accelerating. If you have to brake or accelerate while turning do it gradually or with small quick adjustments. If you have to lay on the brakes midturn you messed up. Accelerate while turning as traction allows.

Yep, these physics feel like they translate really well, especially in PSVR2, the slip or neutral steering is much more consistent when deviating between throttle, steering and looking into the corner. I recommend doing an addition vid on PSVR2 if you can - everything intuitively flows better. I somewhat agree with the community on some of the force feedback issues especially between tyre choices. However, everyone is facing the same challenge, I'm sure they'll make a change but either way, i'm enjoying being able to catch more slides after getting punted.

I'm really enjoying the new physics. I'm spending a bit of time on single player whilst I 'get better', and it is difficult, but rewarding with the small gains that come with patience.

I actually like the new physics. I’m far from a top split racer but i feel like the cars are more natural now. I feel like I’ve got more control over the oversteer. I can actually use the oversteer now rather than fearing it. I’ve just done a couple of hours in VR and loved it.

First time that I agree with you Kireth, my feed today is full of "low point for PD" because of this race, physics are great now, probably a few bugs that need fixing and it will be fixed, I'm sure. In reference to the FFB. I'm on DD Pro 8nm driver 457 never felt better than now, I know some people are having issues with DD Pro but mine work perfectly tbh.

I enjoy the new physics, actually did better in my time trial time attack times. Fine tuning the suspension is my favorite part, so rewarding when you get it dialed in perfectly.

Must admit the new physics have taken some getting used to. I'm getting to like the new track especially in the reverse layout with group B cars or anything with a shorter wheelbase. Looks amazing in VR!

Congratulations Kireth. A stand out amongst the streamers. At least ONE of you guys has the balls to be honest & adapt at the same time without crying that all cars don't handle like gr3 cars 👍. This game is NOT GT Sport or ACC. I havent played for 12 months as the direction of the physics was enough to make me uninstall the game. Stiff, understeering, Absolutely No rear end movement, near impossible to spin out, dumbed down for the masses physics. After seeing update 1.49 & the complaints online about it, i thought id give it another crack. Glad i did. The game is far better than its ever been before. The physics are harder & more sensitive to inputs, which is a GOOD thing. One thing i think should be incorporated into online races is the Assist settings. Not TCS & Brake Bias, but the menu assists such as brake assist, steer assist, spin assist. These need to be all off or on in an online race. So there should be 2 races. One for assists, even if its one of them only, & one for no assists. Not a mix. TCS & BB each to their own. I believe this would fix quite a few things for online races.

The force feedback in GT7 isn't good enough to do this kind of physics. The info we get back from the wheel is really limited in GT7 and that makes judging what the car is doing pretty hard.

In the real world, driver aides are meant to make up for lack of driver skill. And that is the exact excuse F1 has given more than once upgrade. CVT transmissions were the first time I heard it worded that way. I don't think they should be offered, unless they were part of the real world vehicle.

The physics are ok it's the force feedback has disappeared on some cars and not others. Try the formula 1500T. Has almost nothing

I think the fact you csnnot see your tire and brake temperatures and full telemetry after time trials I had available 24 years ago in a single player F1 game, their goal is not a serious sim racing but an arcade one. Don't take it too seriously. Enjoy the fun and don't overanalyze

I got the game 2 days after the update so I'm learning from the off with new physics, I'm not sure if that's an advantage or not. It certainly feels twitchier than gt's I used to play but I'm improving fast

Never use traction control in Gran Turismo it makes you slow just FYI. Especially in underpowered cars like these. I got better braking with regular ABS instead of weak. It also seems like the rear end is planted much better during the race because the fuel tank is full. So it's easy to get on the power up the hill during the race even though it's super slick during qualifying. Same thing with coming out of the long ride sweeping turn. You can start flooring it close to the apex during the race and the car won't step out on you. Then you can hold it closer to the wall after that and it won't slide out on you like it does during qualifying. Ultimately it's easier to drive fast during the race than it is and qualifying which is weird

Congrats on making it into the top 500. I love doing stuff like this. These kinds of races are what Gran Turismo was made for. It's not supposed to be GR3 and GR4 cars on the same handful of tracks 24/7 to keep the same lame KZbinrs happy... We need real cars. We need to be regulated only on drivetrain and PP and let us build our own cars and tune our own cars and race our own cars. Hopefully Gran Turismo keeps making good races like this so I can start playing the game again. As long as they keep on giving us GR3 and GR4 races every week I will never play it again. It's hilarious when these races come out because Kai 25 and super GT and the rest of the people who do nothing but play GR3 and GR4 cars are nowhere to be seen... Because they can't drive anything other than GR3 and GR4 cars on the small handful of tracks they are used to😅

Gran Turismo 7 is embarrassing iRacing right now and that's what they're going to continue to do. They won't "go back" or "sanitize" especially not after just a couple dozen days. What?!?🤦🏼‍♀️ The enhanced physics is increasing interest, and keeping it in the lead. The tiny few who are adapting to more realism with any modicum of vocal complaints are a tiny fraction. The massive huge sales of Gran Turismo are only increasing with each update and all the free tracks and cars and enhancements.

I think i have an another gt7.... New or old physik, the street cars drive curios... im searching for that it means real 😅 Drive a car in real and same in game, it looks the same, but not driving. Second before or now, if i have to fix the curiosity to make everything on maximum 😅 Well, the settings worke sometimes at a few car a little bit 😅 I know for what differencial is, but i cant figure out for what it is in game 😅 Short, the only thing i feel changeing is spoiler and suspension. Never needed help systems, now i need nearly all?! Wth! 😡 Why after fix nearly every car spins out at braking and or stop throttle in a curve (and nothing helps to fix it! I spend today 1 hour for an older skyline 😂 and nope, not optimal. At the moment i get angry about a porsche, old problem is gone but have a new one, now i can change between 😂 thats all... and rest of my cars... 😭 ) I cant see the real sim and its more far away as before because now nearly every street car isnt realy driveable! And doing unlogical / unrealistic things...
