GT7 was VR game of the year for me. Love it. I play a LOT of VR games and I’d say that GT7 is about as good as it gets. It’s top tier VR for sure. And it just works.. that can’t be said for pcvr simracing as often.. GT7 is up and running in VR instantly and it makes me play soooo much more. If we get more VR racing games on the PSVR 2 I will be a very happy nerd.

GT7 vr is the reason I want a PS5 pro when it comes out. I know we will get a higher resolution or 120fps. It'll make the experience even better for VR in general. Great video

I raced the manufacturers cup in VR and the combo of rain and night is awesome, yes we don’t have HUD but in someway is a good thing as you focus on what you can control. Don’t get me wrong would love a HUD. 🇨🇦🖖🏁

Be careful with VR It's addictive.. so much so I've practically abandoned flat screen gaming.. even going as far as building a PCVR set up It changed the way I game. Easily the best experience I've ever had on console gaming since mid/late 90s

Since the launch of PSVR2, I've only raced in VR and it's still awesome. At least once a week, but usually a few times in a week. As mentioned before, I really miss the race info about the leader, the car in front / behind me. I really hope that this will be added to the game, because that will make it a complete game for me to race in VR. I personally don't have the tracking issues your're having in the showroom. I can even race in a complete dark room with only my TV on and the tracking is still perfect. Hopefully your videos show the appreciation to PD for the PSVR2 experience and the issues/wishes we have to dot all the i's and make the game perfect for VR.

I have that choice to make I guess because my VR will not work in a lobby with other drivers. When I race against AI, it works beautifully but when I go to a lobby and try to join, I’m sitting behind the wheel, but I’m looking at a flat screen. So I have to choose to go back to a flat screen occasionally if I want to race with others. I already returned my PS VR and got a new one and the same issue occurred. It’s not in my settings. VR works fine until I’m in a lobby. PlayStation has no idea what to suggest.

I only play in VR, flat screen is exactly that when going back, flat. Its a really big disadvantage not having any way of knowing race data, how far you are off the lead etc which is unfair. I know another load of data on the screen would be less emersive, but an extra turn on the hub or a spotter in your ear would really help.

That data could just have been a page on the TCS/map/brake balance screen on the side. That’s all they need do do to fix this problem.. sucks that they haven’t done it yet.

Vr is major advantage gran turismo has that forza does not have, its crazy they dont even want to do vr support, and their is no excuse becouse pc have good amount of vr headsets, assetto corsa has it witch was made by like 5-6 people

@@Mcfigg its not really doing that bad like 1 mil sells at this point, and this is not about witch vr is better or worse, pcvr outside of meta quest sells less, you cant do better vr than ps5 and psvr2 for the money and thats the point with this to,have somewhat affordable good vr, pcvr cost at least the double amount, and it dosent matter if one or the other suceed becouse we need vr to grow, psvr2 has currently this year have the best vr titles this year, 4 aaa titles in one year, only like one studio shut down, the reason behind nobody knows, vr overall is niche market no matter what platform, we need it to grow, no matter if its pcvr, psvr2 or meta quest, we should not even debate or fight about the different vr platform becouse the sucess is dependent on each platform, and if psvr2 get good titles now from large aaa titles that could make the vr market to grow

One of my biggest gripes is the constant changes in my seating position in VR when I restart race. I always have to pause the game and hold option’s button to recenter myself to the wheel. Why does it not remember my last alignment I have no idea. Other than that I love VR racing in Gt7. I wish there was faster setup time to race because you need to have the vr sense in your hands even though you won’t use them and you can’t save different profiles to the headset for guest.

Lol at people coming in with sweet spot and VR tech arguments. If you haven’t in real life (and I’ve been lucky to have done so), you can’t appreciate how no sim, no matter how precise, fails to convey what taking the corkscrew at Laguna Seca is like. Then you do it in Gran Turismo 7 in PSVR 2. There is no comparison. It’s more accurate to the real world experience with a controller in hand than with a multi thousand sim rig and no VR. Depth and elevation are finally realistically conveyed. Take the bank at Daytona, and go back to flat.

I love everything about GT7 in vr while using my TGT2 but one feature i really want is to play in vr on campaign race's with a friend in co op! Its nice going in to play a race online but sometime its nice to just set up a quick race with a friend and fill the grid with AI competitors

Sweet spot is too small on PSVR2, I have yet to achieve the clarity that most youtubers show. Certain tracks look better than others and VR does bring a different level of immersion but I would get a QUEST 3 over the PSVR2. I have the RIFT S, QUEST 2, HP REVERB G2, QUEST 3, and PSVR2...I find myself using my REVERB G2 the most, it has the best clarity for me but a beefy computer is still required for smooth stutter free play. (the showroom is awesome though)

While I really like GT7 in VR I wish they fixed the tracking and positioning issues. It's a real nightmare to deal with and everyone who's ever used my psvr2 has to pause the game and adjust their cockpit view. Why not give us a fixed position that we can adjust? The same goes for the position of the flat screen menu, if we look in a different direction it moves without us holding the options button. While I'm at it, if something can be done about the reproduction blurrynes that would be great and if we can have some more time in VR mode during the count down that would be great for reducing the feeling you've been thrown into the deep end violently.

I Love GT7 in PSVR2. HUD would be nice, but implementation in ACC VR and in AC VR is a mixed bag and immersion breaking. GT7 would need to have it esthetically perfect to match the overall experience

Excellent video. I might just treat myself to a VR headset. I am also planning to upgrade my Thrustmaster T-GT to either the Logitech Pro direct drive or Fanatec. I currently have the Club Sport V3 pedals that I have connected with a "Basher Board" adapter. If I go Logitech, I will have to give them up which I 'm not excited about. I really wish Logitech would announce additional wheels and expand their eco-system. They built the quick release and the additional ports for a reason, didn't they?

I upgraded from tgt2 to fanatec gt pro because I just use ps5 and xsx and eventually pc. I was looking at logitech pro direct drive but they have no rims and only cover 1 console for each base. Im loving my Fanatec Gt pro and have 4 rims so far and upgraded to qr2 with vr3 pedals with damper kit on throttle so I don't hammer it so quickly in the corners. Fanatecs eco system is awesome. They have so much to choose from.

You make perfectly good sense. I really should choose the Fanatec Eco system. Since I could keep my pedals, the whole upgrade would actually be cheaper than to go the Logitech route. But then, I'm a 75 year old, still playing video games, so common sense is not in my wheel house. I think I will give Logitech 4 or 5 more months to release alternate wheels, before I make my choice. But, thanks for the dose of reality. I'm still waiting for GT7 to add the Pikes Peak Hill climb track. I think they own the exclusive rights, so what is the hold up...@@PageCrowes

The graphics themselves are blurry, especially when looking down the track. I'm on several FB groups, and they all talk about blurryness. You get used to it, but its there.

How do the steering wheel logos look for everyone? I can definitely see mine ok but it has a little blur, the speedometer is wayyy clearer. It’s better and worse with some cars

I will take the challenge to bring something that you didn’t know about and didn’t cover because it hasn’t happened to anyone but me. Even PlayStation support doesn’t know how to help so they just disconnected my phone call and didn’t call back. My issue is with lobbies. When I go into a lobby, I lose my PS VR view of things and it goes back to a flat screen. Just as the menus of the game are flatscreen I continue to see that behind the wheel of my car. If I create a race against AI, then the VR works as it should. If I go to multiplayer and try to enter a lobby, I am on a flat screen. Have you ever heard of this? Apparently Sony has not and doesn’t know how to deal with it. The only suggestion they had was to return it so I did and I got a brand new headset and the same thing happened. I’m at a loss

Vr is the real driving simulator. Disapointed by gt7 at launch got the psvr2 since day one and realized that some lacks of the game were due to the fact that it was entirely made around vr remember KYamaushi was asked about gt7 on pc and on psvr2, First clearly never for psvr2.....can't talk anythind about this (in 2022) Do play in vr if you got one for me non going back to flat screen with this game
