hijacking this comment to point out that, while I absolutely LOVE this rendition, this song is actually a cover. It was written by Mike Scott, the front man of Scottish band The Waterboys. Blew me away that Babish said it's his pick for the song played at his funeral because it's the first time I've ever heard someone else talk about it. Seriously one of my favorite songs of all time, but Kirin did not write it.

My guts hurt from laughing. It‘s a special kind of laughter that comes from the pure joy of witnessing something so utterly perfect and iconic that the only reaction is to laugh from awe. And then something else iconic and perfect happens, and you laugh some more at the brilliance. And it just keeps going and going for seven minutes. The laughter and the awe. Kirin is my favourite.
