I've been a fan of Kirk ever since watching "Quarterback" on Netflix. He's been a positive influence on my life since then. Kirk has some great insight on life as a believer, thanks for a great interview!

I feel religion is so diverse but the most important factor in all religions is faith. I’m a Christian, but I respect everyone’s beliefs. Love to see this side of Kirk. Kirk is a good QB, but an even better man. Great interview. Thank you. God bless you both. ❤

Wow! I’m so backsliden, “If it isn’t begun in prayer, it’s begun in pride. Pray for me I’m so wrong in so many areas. I’ve followed after other gods and forgotten The Lord. Thank you for the testimony please keep me in your prayers.

This is so cool. Kirk is a great role model and so refreshing to see how strong he is in his walk with the Lord. Not a Vikes or even Mich. St. fan but definitely a Kirk Cousins fan. God bless you all for bringing this content to us and encouraging us this way.

Once I trusted God but that became difficult after I was fired for refusing to lie on a status report. False accusations and being black-balled has kept me from getting interviews and hired for the last 7 years. As Kirk said, my life was not about a career but about God and trusting Him. I am finding it more difficult to regain that trust. I wonder what Kirk would say today if that interception against ND had ended his football career? It’s only after one experiences significant loss do they know if they can truly trust God. I’m thinking the fame and fortune Kirk enjoys could perhaps insulate him from a lot of doubt. Having said that, I do applaud Kirk and admire him for being open about his faith.

Hey there! I think this is a really interesting conversation and you have a lot of great points. We're never sure why God does what He does, especially when it doesn't make any sense and we can't see why He's doing it. I really pray that you find some peace and that God begins to show you what He's working in your life. We have pastors that love having conversations like this if you ever wanted to talk to someone. God bless you!

@@lakelandcommunitychurch Thank you for the invitation to speak to someone. Historically, people of faith have been judgmental, often putting a frame around my situation without having the full picture. I was in leadership and as John Ullmen encourages leaders to do, “Go from your here to their there.” It was my goal to incorporate his and Simon Sinecks principles into my interactions and that is why I was wrongfully terminated. Both believe that the most efficient management tool is a trusting relationship. Trust is what is missing in my relationship with God today. My challenge is to know how to trust God, again. Bible glorifies and admonishes work but God has been crystal clear that I am not to work. Pursued 850 - 900 jobs and had one interview. Recruiters have told me I have been black-balled by my former employer. I have been upfront and honest about my termination to prospective employers. They run away faster than a starving greyhound to food. I am no longer like squirrels racing up and down trees to crack this unemployment nut, Bottom line is, I had the ultimate confidence and trust in God but what I have discovered is, Satan is able to weaken and even destroy the most valor of soldiers. Loss cuts through the chase and brings into focus what is real and what are empty Christian sayings.

We totally understand how confused you must be feeling about this. We genuinely will be praying for you and for answers. The invitation to talk is always open, and we really pride ourselves on always being open to talk with grace and understanding. We hope that you are at least working toward finding that trust with God; we know He wants to give you that in some way.

Here are my thoughts regarding your job situation....maybe God is leading you to a different career or starting your own business. I imagine as Kirk graduated with a kinesiology degree, he'd be working in that career. As far as the fame and fortune goes, I believe that would not insulate him from doubt at times. He does play in the "Not For Long" league and has overcome some pretty big obstacles in his life going back to when he was a toddler. Recently, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons and team drafted his replacement before he even played in one game for them. He gave an interview that he felt that God had led him to go to Atlanta. Good Luck!! Here's another video where Kirk talks about overcoming obstacles in his life. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIKQnImFf8emqpo
